Hey everybody. I use a 12 GAL container with about 5 Gal of solution and 6" netpots.

I've been using General Hydro micro grow bloom. Anyways, I'm using the feeding schedule here..

And I have some questions about how my plants are eating and if this chart needs changes on my end.

Transition week 1
7/18
Purp Punch: 6.1 /357ppm
Strawnana: 6.1/ 456ppm

7/23 added 1g water ph 6/400ppm

7/24
PP: 5.5/450 added 1 gal RO water
SB: 5.4/626 added 1 gal RO water
afterwards it went to:
PP: 5.8/380
SB: 5.7/530

7/27
PP: 6.4/277
SB: 5.5/478
added 6.2ph/300ppm
turned into:
PP: 6.3/465
SB: 6.1/300

7/31 regular RO water

8/2
PP: 6.1/438
SB:5.7/433
added 1 gal 3ML micro, 1ml Grow, 3ML bloom, 3ML calimagic to each

8/3
PP: 6.0/448
SB: 5.9/469
added regular water
PP: 6.0/429
SB: 6/429

Is what im doing look right or should I up my PPM? The Purple punch drinks a lot, the SB does slower. Also lower leaves on SB are yellowing fading and falling off. Its a very tall sativa looking plant and the Purple punch is obv. a medium sized bushy indica. I noticed the lower leaves that are covered by the canopy of the purple punch have "burn" around the whole edge of the leaf going brown but rest of leaf is green. Is this from me not adding calmag until now? Any tips would be helpful. I dont ever drain to waste, I just add new nutes and ro water. I changed water when I switched to flower though.

now I see this chart. When I add 1 GAL of nutes to 4 gal of old water/nutes im only using 3ml per gal. this says to use 7.5ml per gal. should i bump it up?

i would change water every 7 to 10 days.

some pics of the leaf issues would help.

check out Lucas formula. 1:2 ratio of micro/bloom (no grow). try something like 4 ml micro/8 ml bloom per gallon RO. shouldn't need cal/mg. it should be around 400 ish ppm (0.8EC).

i prefer to see my ppm drop slightly every day. and try to vary your pH from 5.5 to 6.1 during the week.

I thought "drain to waste" would be filling hte tubs, then dumping the water every couple weeks. I thought the recirculating one would be for people with a satellite reservoir rather than my single tub style.

I'm going to dump the reservoirs. Ph it to 5.5 and use the chart posted above. looks like ive been feeding about 1/2 what they recommend by the new chart for recirc. However, I did add similar to what this chart says and started to see some tip burn when i stayed around 550ppm. I am using RO water as well. I will swap res and report back in a week to see if any changes. my Purple punch has tiny sugar leaves starting and they are purple. this is rad.

my guess is 5 gallons with roots in it isn't going to be very stable for very long. pH will be up or down.

Ok well most thing so read the ph should swing upwards. I guess adding a 6-8ml of ph up every 3-4 days isn't so bad then

as long as you are sure you don't have rot, i wouldn't worry about it dropping.
Well thanks so much. I wasn't sure if it was normal or if it wanted to be around 5.2 to take up certain nutrients. Good to hear.

I did notice one issue on a leaf. Outer serrations started turning brown and a few patches of brown on the leaf itself on the broad surface of it. I added more calmag because it seems that's what the interwebs said it was likely a lack of

try to keep it b/t 5.5 and 6.1

a pic would help on that issue. sounds like could be nute burn or cal deficiency (rust spots)
