Hi there everyone...I've been growing for about 3 years now, and still I'm learning more and more everyday. I've always wondered why all my leaves have turned yellow during my growing in both phases of growth, and near the end, they would usually hermaphadite on me...probably spelled that wrong, but you get the picture. Well, I've always PH'd the water when it comes out of the tap, I do use a reverse osmosis kit. and I assumed that it would always be the same, about a 6.5, and never thought in a million years that when I added the nutes that it would change the ph of the water. Why was I born gorgeous instead of smart??? So, I finally measured it, and found my water to be about an 8.2 from the tap and when I added the nutes, it really dropped it to under 5.0. For years, I didn't even bothered and always got pissed as I watched my plants slowly die in front of me and wonder what I was doing wrong. :wall: Finally I smartened up and thought I'd try it for shits and giggles and was pissed at my stupidity, hence why I'm writing this, to show my shame at the murder I have done to these helpless plants, and I ask forgivness of them...hell, in less than a week I've noticed such incredible differences....but I wanted to put this up here so everyone could take a turn at laughing and pointing at me, so I can become a better dad/grower. I chalk it up to experience, and I will never make this mistake again...I will keep you all informed of my progress and hope to put up some pictures of my fat little babies shortly...ive gotta give em time to fatten up. Till then my friends...

And yes, this post doesn't make that much sense, I'm also baked out of my mind on some brownies a friend made and my 2nd bowl...I'm surprised I could even figure this out...

If you think you are having problems due to pH and you really haven't dialed in a grow I'd suggest getting back to a basic growing soil with a healthy dose of dolomite built into the mix. It's gonna keep your pH mid-sixes and you can concentrate on other stuff knowing your pH is cool.

We've all made mistakes in the beginning and learned from it. that's how we become better at our graft, it's also helpful to have fellow growers in this comunity to help and not ridicule.
