Hey guys,

Was wondering if anyone has grown or knows anyone who has grown 30%> THC strains and what breeders they got them from?
Theres many that hit those numbers grew out to there max potential but thc isnt everything u smoke one at 22% and one at 30% the one at 22 could still be better than the higher thc strain theres so much that comes into the entourage effect its not so simple as more thc means better weed and also alot of places inflate there numbers anyway so i dont pay much attention to it

Correct. THC is not the only valued cannabinoid in the plant. This is the bull shit I’m talking about with people harvesting early based on trichome maturity. Trichome maturity only works if THE PERSON CHECKING is checking CORRECTLY. 20% of the entire plant will show amber due to damaged parts of the plant. It happens to all cannabis plants. For sure 99%. This is why it’s important to visually see the plant matured first. As for seen or grew. I live in Southern California. So 30% strains is my regular daily smoke

The few 30%+ strains ive tried are not amongst my favorites, nor did I find them to be any stronger than strains that are my go-tos....and I don't know if the two go hand in hand or not, but I didnt enjoy the flavors as much either. I feel like the terps arent as impressive on those higher % strains, and mostly, I find good flavorful weed to and up being stronger.

That said, ive had some good tasting weed that had no effect before too - but was surprised by the taste because they appeared to be grown like shit.

Y'all can have the 30+% Im good with 20-28% and sometimes even 17-20% that I find better than those 30+%s.

Hey man, I agree completely.

Unfortunately, people shop by numbers down where I am. I don't personally prefer high THC strains.

Have any of you tried Umami seeds? I could be wrong but I find that I don't see a lot of professionals growing with them.

Same here its illegal and not everyone is educated so alot of people make choices on supposed thc content i think thats just the current market everywhere

Yep, every person I know from my country who has shopped in a dispensary away has literally just bought the highest THC flower available.

ACE Seeds Golden Tiger.

I have no idea what the thc percentage is with what I grew but it's some damn potent weed. It's not a couch like high but it brings on some serious mental activity. It would likely cause paranoia with some people and it reminds me of some of the Thai we used to get back in the late 70's. But it is a cross of Thai strains and African Malawi. But you have to be willing to spend the 14 weeks or more for it to finish. I made a bunch of feminized seeds from a Thai leaning pheno so I'll grow it again.

I am growing grand mommy purple and runtz punch from herbies right now and am super impressed. I have a gorilla zkittlez that tests over 30 from barneys, also a mimosa orange from them that feels like 30 plus but is untested.

I have a blueberry that is likely mid or low 20s and everyone loves it, so I do agree weed is more complex than just measuring thc. It's a good way to know your gonna have good bud, but old school genetics quickly show you its about the make up and combo of everything not just thc

Definitely is more complex....I've had 17% super silver haze that I LOVED....I've had 30% strains that gave me a short buzz for 30min.... that super silver haze had me lifted for a good hour and a half.

It also goes the other way around sometimes though....with the higher thc clearly being better.

My homegrown stuff is ALL untested and I've grown stuff that keeps me high for 3-5 hours off a gram....I've never had that happen with a 30+% dispensary or delivery service strain, ever.

And I am 100% certain if I tested mine, it wouldn't be 30%, maybe low to mid 20%

This is true. There's so much more the bud can offer other than thc.
