Im looking to add a friend for my current HLG300, and torn between the 2 lights listed. it appears as if the Budget LED is better as far as the PAR graph, but it draws less actual wattage than the HLG. I know some of yall are LED masters and im too dumb to figure out which is better. Someone help me out lol? links below to make it easier.

Budget led is £275........£67 cheaper and has a better spectrum. Par Map is very similar.
Looks like they use meanwell drivers too.
Budget led are US company too. Michigan. When I saw the £ sign I thought they were a UK Company.
So £275 + taxes/ import duty I'd imagine.
I take it you are UK based?
Hlg 300 rspec is £342 PLUS Taxes/Import duties.
That's my take on it.
I hope that helps in your decision :D

Thanks for the info, @Moflow. Im in the states, the site must have auto converted the currency for you. Budget LED is $360, HLG is $460. But im not worried about price, just which is the better light, but you kinda answered that too haha.

The only thing I can add here, is since you already own an HLG piece, you've held the quality in your hands. No corners cut.

Budget LED, is still an unknown to most. Aptly named. I think its extremely unlikely they would be "junk".... really can't be.
I've been contemplating a purchase from them, being a Michigan fella myself. They're certainly not making any claims that raise red flags.
Pretty cut and dry what they offer. Site looks good.
Real good price, for some pretty good stuff, sight unseen even.

Thanks for your input, greatly appreciated. I didnt notice the HLG has an extra 20 watts of power, that just might be my deciding factor. Ive been viewing the lights on third part sites that didnt include all the specs, If the amount of light produced was the same i would have no problem taking a chance with budget, the comparison was more about the amount of light produced, anything that involves math is an issue for me lmao

Agreed. We all know HLG makes quality and love mine so that's what I would pick, but that light looks pretty nice too.

Looks nice but I don't like how they don't have a way to contact them by phone like HLG does. I just like to know I can call and talk to a real person if I need to. So my vote would be for the HLG until we hear more about Budget LED.

I bought a Budget Led recently. It's the 3 series red spec 250 watt version. Have it in a 2 x 2.5 ft tent. One plant (sunshine daydream).
Will update with results.

Okay, change of plans, sorry I won't be able to follow through on this. Decided to put the Budget Led into my 4x4 tent along with my XML 350. Flowering 4 plants: Eternal Sunshine, Zamaldelica, Gorilla Biscuit ix, and Sunshine Daydream.
Again, sorry to disappoint.

Grown the Zamaldelica before? Or anything else from Ace? I'm eyeing their Panama, one of their indicas (can't recall which at the moment), and possibly Golden Tiger for my next seed buy.

Yes, I grew Zamaldelica a couple of years ago outdoors in the Caribbean. Just one plant. My neighbor harvested it for me and hung it to dry. Smoked it upon my return to the island a few months later; it did breakdown quite a bit into more of a cbd heavy medicine. Shared some with a Vietnam veteran and it was highly rated as good medicine. This is coming from a guy who consumes Rick Simpson oil daily, as well as multiple daily hash spliffs.
Based on my experience with Ace seeds I wouldn't hesitate to try any of their products. I've had my eye on their Panama and the Nepal Jam I would like to try too.

Have you had a look at vivid led, and HLG UK/EU for listed HLG resellers based in UK?

This was grown with a 120w full spec from budgetled, I have. 250watt and a 120w in my 4x4 they do great, now they offer the coating on the light, that was my only issue with my first light not being able to buy the coating. They answer emails super fast or as fast as anyone can now with the the pandemic. The bud shot is a auto I had going why everything is vegging.
