Holy Shit Doug, the anticipation is killing me!

I've been waiting weeks for you to fire this light up!
LOL, if you think it is hard on you imagine how I feel looking at the box :eyesmoke: Oh well, if I can wait for a plant to actually ripen I can wait to put up my new light. Just don't want to swap my HPS light out in last couple weeks of the plants life, she needs to die of natural causes.

Sweet. That's what I expected from HLG. Awesome man. I know it's just a sticker, but that's awesome they made it right.
Yes I am impressed. The fact is that they did the wrong thing when intentionally labeling this wrong but I cannot blame the whole company for the stupid actions of likely one person. In the end they took my complaint seriously and made it right so they score big points from me. This is why I went with a reputable company, so I could know they are there for me if I have an issue and so far they are. So excited to put this thing into use.

What about power draw and heat?

Hahaha this reminded me of something. I use to collect those football stickers as a kid. My best friend had two of the same player I needed but he would not swap me one. I honestly remember the moment of realisation that he was purposefully collecting 2 of everything. I could see his logic, he might lose one, but at the same time angry with him because I don't even have one. What was funny was that even at such an innocent level you can see the microcosm of capitalism vs communism.

On the bright side Doug, capitalism won, you also have two stickers ^^.

I was a little early to the game when the 650Rspecs came out. Wished I could have bought those. Ended up with the best they had at the time, the 550 v2's.. So far, I've been very pleased with them. I had my ceiling wired for 220, so they only draw 2.3 amps per light, and they run pretty cool. I have 18 of them in a 20x30 with a 3 ton mini split. Total room cost per month with all equipment ... lights, AC, dehuyes, fans, AirROS, Evap cooler, etc during 18/6 light cycle is about $400 a month.

Damn you be going all in! I like it! Can't wait to see how your first LED grow goes!
I will post some stuff on the grow as I go. I finally got this set up a few days ago. It's going to be 2 maui waui and 2 shiva skunk. The seedlings had some stretching issues under crappy light in my back room but are doing better now. Moved them from coco
Plugs to small pots and than to 5 gallon fabric pots last weekend. Topped the 4 plants a few days ago and than put them in the tent. They seem to like the light so far. They are in 70/30 coco perlite mix using GH micro, grow and bloom nutes with added armor si and calmag. Light is at 30" running at 50%. Here is a pic from yesterday. So far they are alive so yah, lol.20201103_212623.jpg

Power draw is what I set it at so between 60 and 600 watts. I currently have it set at 30" at 300 watts for veg. As for heat, I had my HPS set at 600 watts with an air cooled sealed hood, it kept temps just under 30 deg in tent. Now I am at 25 deg so it dropped my temp by 5 deg Celsius and let me turn down my exhaust fan which was running through the light. I have one clip on fan pointed across the top of the light at present and it is only slightly warm. Will see what it does at full power when I get a couple weeks into flowering.

I personally would recommend using Solacure florescent UV fixtures.. with a universal UV bulbs.. I don't think the tech is there for UV light and LEDs as far as cannabis is concerned.. just my opinion

Can we get a more recent picture? :weed:
Bud shots from the 3rd, canopy shot from the 7th. Lights out right now. One plant stretched too much and got too close to the light. A couple colas got some foxtails but I lowered the plant 5" and dropped light output to 550 watts. Was going to supercrop those branches but there was no room to lay them down so I left them. Hoping I stopped that in it's tracks. Thankfully it was only on a couple. I will throw a bunch of pics from beginning to end in a grow journal when done so people can see it all the way along. 20210103_222853.jpg20210103_222934.jpg20210107_225420.jpg
