Hortilux Eye Dual Arc Bulb

As some of you know I am now able to grow after ten years. No I was not in prison. LOL :)

So I am unboxing things I had in storage for the last 10 years.
I have Mag-Ballast and one of the things I was interested in was Hortilux's Dual Arc bulb.
This may be asking the old timers only but what do you think of it?

It would work. Personally I'd probably go with a standard HPS bulb if your hard on cash. Get your first crop out and use the money to invest in LED.
I'm medical so I don't sell.
I'm hoping to read from folks who have used that bulb.
I kept that old school Mag-Ballast thinking I would try that bulb one day.
Thanks for your reply.

Im glad you're getting back in to growing. What draws you to this particular bulb? Standard HPS bulbs veg and bloom ladies just fine in my experience.

The term "Arrested Development" is the most appropriate answer.
I had to give up growing in my trailer due to climate change and I wanted to try that one.
Just think of me as time traveler when it comes to growing my own. I'm picking back up like it is still 2010.

HAHA!

I was thinking about tryin those bulbs too a combo of MH and HPS, I’ve heard good reports about combining these two lights. HPS for yield, MH for quality potency and faster finishing.
From what I’ve seen there’s not many leds with a blue/white spectrum similiar to MH.

I run 1k switchable mag ballast and usually run sun bulbs (never the dual arc though..$$$) I've never had complaints. But last time I bought bulbs the ushio bulbs were cheaper than hortilux, I'd been wanting to try them anyway. They are bright as fuck, I believe they outshine the hortilux bulbs.

The hortilux are quality bulbs though, you wouldn't go wrong with either.
