Hi all, I have been a patient since moving out to CA two years ago, and am now looking to leave my job and get involved in the tech side of the industry.
One of the biggest issues I’ve come across is finding short-term labor. I talked to one operation that lost almost an entire indoor harvest to mold because they couldn’t find trimmers.
As such, I was thinking of creating some kind of gig-posting platform for the short-term labor market (trimmers, HVAC, electricians, etc.) in a way that increases transparency (i.e. you are confident in the quality and safety of the folks you are employing), yet remains externally anonymous and discrete.
Now I know this is my first post, and I know I may be asking a lot here being a total stranger, but I was hoping to talk to some of the growers out there and ask a few questions about what you would want to see in some kind of app/website that does the above.
It will be totally anonymous, and can be done over email/PM/survey monkey (hell, over the phone even). Its 10 short questions – six about the platform, and four optional demographic questions. It should take between 5-10 minutes. To incentivize folks – at least those who don’t mind sharing a bit more about themselves - I can offer a few bucks via Paypal or Venmo, or at least early access to the Beta I would hope to have in a week or two.
