How many times do you defoliate?

Going through a grow my defoliation routine starts in veg and goes on all the way through flowering as well.
With probably 12/14 defoliating sessions in total
Will say it's not a case of wanting to, more having too.
With leaf layered 3/4/5 deep in places after each weeks respite.
How about you?

Be sure to sterilize your scissors & hands between plants.

I use fingernails don't need your eyes i go by feeling
It's quicker with nails like chisels LOL and wash hands after

i quite agree, terrible way to treat a lady. you should all have your arms and legs pulled off for even contemplating such a thing

I lift her skirt a few days before flower. 2 weeks in I start removing big leaves from the top down that are shadowing other buds. Then I lift her skirt one more time to keep good air flow under the canopy. If I can't see light hitting my grow table , then I think it's too dense. Does defoliation hurt your over all yield? Sometimes, but the bud you do get is much higher quality and not some underdeveloped larfy shit.

But people this happens in nature so why so wrong.
Plus leaves get layered 3/4/5 deep with a impenetrable canopy on my plants. I see it as having to not wanting too

These were just defoliated. I don't go too crazy, but I like to get good air circulation between the buds.

Not anything that wasn't already dying or dead due to my greedy veg habit!lol pretty sure I'll get in there one of these grows and find out what it's all about! And if I f*** her up I'll play her some music and I'll do so with clean hands and scissors!

I alway strip her lower leaves week before the flip ( for good air flow on scrog ) then I take a few here and there throughout flowering. I’d only take anything that’s creating massive shading and only one a day, keeps feeling like I’m doing something

I defoliate when I harvest the plant.

Yeah, GG4 is especially prone to HPLVD, but it's such a nice strain. It's like playing with the Devil. I have it in my garden now.

Ive got one seedling of gg4 just popped, last year lost all the others to fiefs.

I just thought of something, my gg4 last year, l took a clone off her and come october the clone had outgrown her mom. And mom looked wierd to me, just not right.

GG4 strains can definitely be a love/hate relationship. I’ve found that they’re susceptible to mold & pests AND show intersex traits consistently.

Not sure about being more susceptible to hplvd but I wouldn’t be surprised.

They’re worth the effort though.

My Tony Green recombinant GG4 seeds are disappointing so far, but ya never know. Some of the ugly ducklings in veg can put out some dank flower.

Got some “glue sniffer” hybrids in the way that I’m super excited to try. Hot mess & hair of the dog by Twenty20.
