1 how do I identify dead leaves on my plants after they’ve had heat burn.

2 how do I remove them safely by hand?

On my own plants...

If the leaf is mostly green and still perky, I leave it alone. If its just one blade damaged, I might trim off just that damaged part and leave the rest of the leaf alone.

If the leaf is mostly yellow, brown spots/burned edges, I use trimming scissors to cut it off at the petiole (leaf stem) as close as possible the the branch where it protrudes.

If the leaf looks light yellow and wilting (like N deficiency) I give it a light tug to see if it will let go on its own. If it doesn't let go with a light tug, I leave it til the next day and try again...or I might just trim it like above.

Good luck! Peace :peace:

I like to leave the leaf’s on until they shrivel up, and either fall off naturally or if they aren’t drying out I’ll pull them off.

I feel like I read on here that when you pull leaf’s off the plant dosent have a chance to recover some of the nutrients it spent on that leaf. I hope I dident make this up in my head with bro science but it makes sense.

I just pluck ‘em gently, if it needs more force than that it ain’t quite dead. This is just for general cleanup towards harvest though if I’ve got any serious leaf abnormalities that could indicate some kind of pathogen I just snip it with my snips.
