I really need to get some input on my situation before I end up with moldy buds. everytime I open up my sheet its humid as hell in there. I use a tarp and a dark sheet to cover up cause im using my bathroom (got two) and theres two dark sheets seperating that part from the veg part. got space issues so I do what I can with what I got.

so I was wondering if I add a few damp rids while the lights is out would that solve my problem? I dont own my spot so I cant be drilling and cutting holes in the wall. 12hrs of this every night isnt good for the girls. if anyone has anything to say please post. I need all the help I can get!

oh yea I forgot, if it matters...the shower its in is 2x2.5x7

You need to remove the humid air some how.

Exhaust into another room with ducting

Use AC and a dehumidifier.

I have experienced Bud rot at 54% RH due to plant spacing, too close to each other causes too many fan leaves to touch each other which causes micro climates between foliage where mould can grow. Air movement will also help.

I have a two speed fan in there..and the ducting idk about it cause the way my bathroom made...its probaly considered a shitty grow room in the eyes of RIU and thats gonna fuck me wit my small ass flowering space.

I can post a pic of the room in a lil bit

In a little bit i will be sleeping.

If you cannot exhaust then how hot are your temps?

Could be you will need to use AC and a dehumidifier in order to control RH and TEMPS.

1. veg area
2. sheets blockin light as best as possible...but that gap is what kills me...it defeats the whole purpose
3. flower area and the door to the room with the dog blanket

Hi the newbies,

Im about to start my first grow pretty soon (5x5x7). I had a really serious problem in my room with damp, had it all through the summer, mold all up the walls, terrible, all my books were ruined, my DSLR broke, my life was hell because of the humidity. I live in a converted garage with a flat roof!! Anyways, on the other side of the wall is a garden tap that the landlord uses to wash his Jaguar, and it leaked really really bad, I've suffered months because he wants to wash his bloody Jag! Once we located the problem we sorted the tap. And he bought me this dehumidifier http://www.delonghi.com/uk_en/products/dem-10/ .What a nice piece of kit, when I first got It was filling up in like 6-7 hours, now its more like 24 hours. Its quite pricey but if you can get a dehumidifier. Honestly, the problems I had with the damp and humidity were outrageous, this little machine is awesome, good for drying clothes too!!
Sorry I cant help more, but Im on my first ever grow.

Peace and good luck.
