I'm in need of some advice. This my first real grow. I cut down and dried it in a hanging style drying rack for the first 24 hours. Then I would put a limited amount each paper bag and put them in a dark closet for 10-14 days. Each day shaking and opening the bag. When the stems started to crack. Then I would jar. Each jar has a humidity display meter and Im reading 64%-67% humidity and 65°F. Should I continue to jar? Should I put back in a paper bag in a closet for a bit longer? I cant mess this up like it did the first grow. It smelled like wet grass. I removed the humidity packs for now. Thinking it may bring down the humidity.

This is just my opinion, but at 65&65 you should be in the butter zone for curing. Don't forget to burp them 3-4 times a day to start and decreasing over time. As the buds cure their smell should start to increase while the smell of cut grass diminishes. In my limited experience it can take up to 2 weeks for them to start to get their smell back. Once you are in to 50ish% range you should be good for longer times between burping, or even sealing for long term storage.

I agree your close just slowly settle into 62, if you close them at 62 when you get up check 4 hrs later if has gone back to 66 67 leave open 4hrs. if only to 63 64 burp leave open 1 hr check every milliseconds (kidding) eventually it will settle i like to seal and sweat around 60

Ok good to hear. I was wondering when the smell would come around. Should I shake the reefer around when I go to burp 3-4 times a day? Or is burping literally opening each jar for 5-10sec and then closing it back up?

I shake to avoid moisture pockets. honestly learning this part is as hard as learning when to pull its a patience game.

I don't shake. Pop the lid leat it breathe for 5-10 minutes. If there buds seem like they are sticking together, I use a metal rod, honestly they are spokes from a junked out bike, to gently move the buds from the bottom to the top, then close them up. Remember to keep them in the dark.
