Is this post for real? While I agree you can dry weed and smoke it and it can be totally fine like that it's not the best. Maybe wine makers should just pluck the grapes and drink them. Curing exists for a reason.

Maybe you are curing wrong OP. Because I'm new to this but I felt like the buds I had in my last harvest tasted better the more in the jar they were. The last buds I smoke, I smoked them with my cousin on new years, and they had a month plus of curing, and I think they were the smoothest and tastiest, I didn't feel like the high was any less potent either.

From what I've learned curing isn't for getting more density, to my knowledge the buds stop getting dense once chopped off the plant, but for maintaining moisture at a proper range that will preserve the content of your bud in good shape. Maybe you are drying them a little too much, since you said you cured once the stem snapped.
