Thought I had an overwatering issue but after digging through top layer of soil I see tons of white tiny bugs. I've been catching tiny little bugs in glue traps but this infestation got away from me as it was really beneath the surface. Plants are yellow and wilting from them. I ordered captain jacks dead bug... any other ideas how to organically kill them? I'm in coco

Bti I've used gnatrol and I still do but there are a whole bunch of products like it. *Edit* It's a larvacide so it only targets one stage you have to keep using it for results.

Can you get some magnified pics? More common is maybe a benifvi mite or springtail in the soil and fungus gnats are the fliers. I wouldn’t go nuke level unless you have a positive ID.

it has spinosad so it's good until flower(It can cause damage if used in high usage) I don't use anything personally that is chemical-based. https://www.biconet.com/crawlers/infosheets/captainJacksConcMSDS.pdf. bti is a bacteria that is introduced into the soil via watering. causes no damage to my plants.
What about crowing in coco? I don't think a bacteria will stay alive in coco will it? If it will can you provide a brand or product? Thanks these things are killing my seedlings so I'm kinda panicking

it's fine in coco it just stays in the medium until it dies off. bmc microbe lift is one of the ones I was suggested by Renfro a while ago but u have to be consistent with bti because it's only active in the medium 7-14 days I usually do it every 10 days. Anything with bti works against them it's just different products with different amounts of concentration of the bacteria. I've been using gnatrol because I have a bag of it already.

So gnatrol looks awesome but I can only find it on ebay... spinosad is coming tmrw...should I use spinosad for immediate infestation since thier killing my seedling and then use bti? Or will spinosad kill my seedlings? Gonna go to garden store to see if they have any gnatrol

the captain jacks would be able to get you thru until you get the gnatrol or any bti product. at the moment it's all up to the plant. how old is it?

id just hope the jacks will help the seedlings I'm not sure if how bad the damage would be from the jacks but if the infestation is bad enough nothing else to do at that point. There is a chance the aphids or gnats could cause even more problems with the roots so the faster it's treated the better your chances are of the plants fully recovering.
