I think I should start over.

Just an update. Things are going well, plant is stretching a lot! My light meter isn't here yet but I cranked the lights power up. I had dimmed it when plant was sick but now it's running 80w brighter than it was before dimming. I want to crank it up more but I'll wait for the meter so I don't do it blindly. Heat is a bit hard to control as the weather is warming and the temperature has been as high as 28 but it doesn't seem to be an issue. I have AC in the grow room and the bedroom so if i start approaching 30 I'll use em. Light is hot but the distribution of light is awesome i really love this light but will have to figure out temperature, can't run the room open constantly. This won't be an issue in winter.

So am I going to run out of room? As soon as that meter comes I'll crank my light right up to slow the stretch.

Pics. This plant is huge. Biggest I've grown lol. Too much delay in veg lol.

I did my water change last night, I kept it the same strength but last time I had to dilute it a little. This time I did not dilute it and left it at about 1/3 of the numbers on their charts. The plant is drinking a gallon every 12 light cycle and a little less than a liter the rest. It is also used full bloom food without any veg now that it's color is back.

I need advice with a few things. I've been topping up with food every other day but it is drinking so much. Should I up the concentration of food when I change res and keep topping up the same way or should i switch to all food top ups? I should mention I mix my food at full strength not 1/3 currently but now that its drinking so much I'm switching to 1/3.

Last question is my lights. I am running out of room haha. I got my lumen meter and need advice on how to handle this. I am thinking :

Option 1: keep the light exactly where it is and same brightness and it will just feel brighter as the plant gets closer.

Option 2: keep the brightness the same and drop the light closer

Option 3: just crank up the light some more and keep its height the same.

These readings don't mean anything to me right now I need to research this further, I thought the number I was looking for is 65000 to 75000. Clearly it's a different scale or measurement. My readings in the center are in the mid 430s x100 and the corners are mid 3350s x10. There is plenty of brightness left to crank up, heat may be my only limiting factor to having a mini star in there. I just know I need to slow the stretch down if I can.

I am impatient and couldn't wait. I am stupid and I think it is the same scale so I went ahead and increased the led drivers by each so 120 more watts of light. Here are the new readings and 5 inches up I start reaching the max light of 75,000. I have a few inches of room to raise the light.

53000 in the middle, it hit 570 a few times moving it around.

43000 at the edges. As it gets used to the light and grows a little more it will approach the max light and I can use whatever space I have left to raise the light and then start dimming it if its gets too close and light burn. The drivers feel pretty hot I dunno how hot they get and if it's nothingto worry about. I'm not gonna worry and try it. It is exceeding the output set by factory when I got it.

It's crazy how much this plant likes to wilt and swing my battle in fast motion lol

Still going good. Plant drinks a lot. Upping strength this feeding. The plant pretty much drinks the whole volume of water every week. I think I'm going to stop doing water changes and just top up with food. Maybe add pure water every few days. It seems pointless to change the water after this week. This is the final mix of food until flush so I'll try no water changes till flush.

I did a bit of leaf trimming too but I feel like I'll be doing that daily for a while to improve light penetration and circulation. I've pretty much left the leaves alone till now only removing damaged ones.

Hi guys. Just updating. I think I found balance with my food and ph stuff. Things are growing great. I was curious and looked at my roots. I probably did more damage than good but nothing bad happened. My roots are completely full. It was a block the shape of the bucket lol. They looked strange too the way they grew, kinda like coral.

The plant is drinking over a gallon a day and my total water is only 8 gallons. Its mostly eating nutrient I only top up with water if it needs one just before lights out or if my ph is rising too fast. That means its drinking everything I am giving it I think so i am skipping water changes for now. Typically it would get one tomorrow and we start week 4 i think if flower now. Pics from my camera this time. Except the first one, that was cellphone.
