Im still using trays with domes, water in rockwell qubes, air stones, tapwater to fight rot, maybe a few drops of fulvic acid. On heating pad. No problem if pm dont get to them as soon as tops off, np when dome on and high rh, only when off at 65rh. Powdered hormone, jelly hormone , aloe vera, cinnomin, tried them all, a little good medium in water will root quickest. Go figure. Mycorhyzae maybe? Those aero cloners are like 100% rooted no? Imo, there are many ways to root. Healthy cuts are the factor. Like dafreak said low light roots best. Love my led tubes 5000k, still using a florescent in with them. Went back to tubes, old ways work best. Conditions always a fight.

Been kinda following. Why the fancy pants. Dirt, tray dome, light and tap water. 14 days max to full root @68-72F.

I'm trying to understand the logic. But clones are one step of aiding nature. Nothing more. LOL.

Found cloning by accident 35 some years ago, using tent pegs to hide big sativa, rooted at each peg ang got so big. Chopped branch off, grew another bigger next year. Was hard keeping alive red blue green spolights all winter. All we had were those before hid. Im getting old. Started young.

Hey guys: tasks so much for everyone helping out.

I've raised my temps to 71-72°F. We shall see.

My next water change is due. I think I'll take the plants that have some roots in then and move them to the flowering table and keep them in veg waiting for the rest to root.

You could be onto something. I had issues with pm, but I had solved those, I thought. At least, my moving the mothers from the small room, regular spraying, TLC, etc... resulted in new growth and nice healthy looking leaves.

The reason I want to use the aerokloner is because I don't want to have any waste at the end. I am also growing aeroponically, so that means no jiffy pucks. I don't want to use Rockwood cubes because I want a zero waste growing system.

also, after trying with or without additives, I found simple tap water works best. My tap water has chloramine in it and basic minerals and I found any additives are unnecessary. If using well water you may want to add a little bleach or hydrogen peroxide to sterilize the chamber to ensure healthy root growth.

an extra trick~ a day or two after cloning, do a reservoir swap. You need to do this because any little pieces of plant matter from initial cloning will be refreshed, and also cleaning out any pucks from clones that didnt take makes the next week hassle free.

an aero cloner can also have a recycle timer put on it so that you arent heating up the water as much with the pump, if heat is an issue. It is actually good to have it on/off so you achieve the proper oxygen

some strains can be difficult as well. Try old growth and new growth to determine which is a better part of the plant to cut

I'll try swapping out the light tonight.
Water change is this weekend, so I'll take out the rooted clones, and replace with RO water. Water is too high in ppm to use with the RO.

Just another quick note about this forum: I'm really pleased with the great responses and that number of people really wanting to help me. I stumbled across this group and I had to say I like it better than most.

Ok you may want to re read what wrote stating I have a softened water then it goes to the ro. Soft water is easier on ro membranes. I was clarifying for others. I've an ro system that will fill my 200 gal tanks in 20 mins. My toilet flushes ro water(really it does) I always start with a blank slate.

I did read it. I was just confused at the sequence of events as you wrote it.

200 gallons in 20 minutes.... Man! Mine takes 2 minutes to do 1 litre once the bladder tank is emptied. It would take over 25 hours for me to do that.
What make and model RO is this? What size bladder tank? I'm thinking of increasing the size so I have a lot more in reserve.

You need a booster pump and/or a bigger system. RO systems are only efficient at higher pressures, filters also last longer. Good luck!

dont you find that the sodium ions interfear with the process of cloning or any process for that matter
