IBL Durban & crosses

Originally sourced from Alaska Cannabis Cache. History is online. They’re out of business now since Heime Cheeba was killed in a motorcycle accident. His price was $350 for 10 regular seeds. I’m a bit more reasonable.
I think heime claimed they were collected in 1979 from a place called joe town direct from poison sticks or something alongthose lines. Hotrodharley how strong do you find these. The durban used in holland when it was first around in the coffee shops before sam brought it over and when sam first brought his seeds over gave squat wide growing plants that were giving buds that were all purple and some would come out looking kind of purple black. Weir strong sandlewood aniseed thing going on with the taste. Yours do look very good. Compared to other very strong sativas in effect how do you rate yours please. Thanks, might pm you.

The original Durban collected in South Africa tended to hermie. The guy turned it over to Dutch Passion to be stabilized. That’s how it tastes and smells to me and my buddy with his bloodhound nose. Licorice and/or sandalwood. I think it’s fantastic daytime smoke. It’s no couchlock strain. Several retail operations here have run this or are running it. The analysis 22% THC. So it’s not a 1-hitter quitter.

Looking to trade for some GOOD genetics. No seedbank freebies. No ILGM or Crap King junk.

I’ve maintained this line since 2017. Stable. Doesn’t hermie and numerous growers on RIU can attest to this.

Outdoor in Virginia last growing season. Thanks BC.

I have crossed this strain with several well known strains and again these are stable. Again a number of growers on RIU have run these strains without complaints.

No crap strains and definitely no autos.
How long does your DP take in flower? Good growing, it looks alot like RSC's picture of Lebanese.

I had the clone only original version once but I had too many plants to fit in my closet so I tossed it out. It was a beautiful plant at least in veg. I should have kept it and tossed one of the kinds I had 2 of but I didn't. If I ever see it again I'll grab it.

the reason I asked is that I acquired a strain of Durban Poison that the breeder told me took 16 to 17 weeks to finish flower. I won't worry about that since the time that I grew outside Malawi for 22 weeks. It was beyond incredible. Yesterday I took the trim and made hash today. 2 puffs is all I'm doing. With mine he never mentioned any hermie stuff. When I do crack 'em I will let you know how I do.

Out of the straight IBL Durban until the Fall. Still have some great crosses available.

White Widow
Banana Slammer
Blackwater
MAC

The MAC is the original real deal that’s been maintained down on the Kenai. Here it’s by cutting only. Very productive and very tasty.

Blackwater another strain from the original that’s been maintained near Fairbanks. Another tasty quality bud. Yields well.

The Widow is another yielder. Very nice smoke.

Banana Slammer is from Black Farms Genetix. This is another yielder with lots of color in the buds.

Also crosses with Great White Shark and with Big Bang.

Id be willing to trade just about anything for that Blackwater as a stand alone and not in a cross. I've been wanting to get Blackwater for quite some time. Any interest in trading some of your pure Blackwater seeds if you have any?

I don’t but a friend over in Fairbanks just might. I’ll hit him up. When I got here in 2016 he had it going as an established line. Really good smoke. I got the cross seeds by open pollination of a female plant he gave me.

Thanks man. I’m glad to be here. I’m an outdoor organic grower here in hawaii. I like all strains. at the moment been laning toward gas and Chem my strains but love them all. Everything I grow I try to preserve it by making seed. even if there junk. And I just hold to to them. Currently I’m trying my hand at breeding
I like that you know you may see greatness in your crop ,and still fail to reproduce it.Hope springs eternal baby!
