It's been 2 years since I posted this. I now find Epsom salt critical to keeping some strains happy in early veg so I'm updating my 3 favorites.

1 Epsom salt.
2 EWC
3 Crab Meal.

interesting, seems i dont need any epsom anymore in organics.
but the pellets do contain epsom salt, quite sure, so that may tricks me.

My tap water has it,also I think 444 has some also.

My tap is high in Ca and Mg. I cut it in with ro from 400 ppms down to about 200. I find the need for N late in veg. In early veg with a good soil Mg is the only deficiency I ever see but it can vary with strain and root development. When I run into this, I feel there is plenty of Mg in the soil I just feel it has to do with root development not able to keep up with the plants demand in the early stages for Mg when the plant 1st takes off in veg.

Compost (has chicken manure in it) kelp, whole fish parts. Worms might come on their own to that pile.
