Would you diy build it your self
Or
Buy a system like the medusa or iws drain

I want the most efficiency from my plants and to take away the 3 water a day I do by hand in my left.

I find the medusa systems good but cant really find any other systems for sale

The runoff bits the balls

Currently 40cmnplant saucer on iws bases. With 19mm pipe plumbed to the saucer .
Airports on top and drains to a tub I empty by hand.

I want a tidyer system it works well but I want a clean tidy system . Atm it's doing my head in.
Think il buy a medusa system 8 pot.
And some plastic maze tops plates to spread the water current

if you want to get fancy, a submersible sump pump with float switch in the waste tub. to a garden hose to a sink or drain or outside even.

i plumbed my whole system to a floor drain that is next to my hot water heater.

picture this: 2 27 gallon black/yellow home depot totes from my old RDWC setup up on cinder blocks. 2" PVC connected and then I ran a tee off to 1/2" pvc about 10 feet away thru a wall to the drain next to the water heater. it's all hidden behind the cinder blocks so a pic wouldn't help.
