Illinois before 2020?

Anyone think illinois could pass it before 2020?

There are multiple bills pending, and the new governor said he would sign one as soon as it hit his desk.

I also know that Illinois wants to beat Michigan to having an open dispensary, Illinois wants to be the first in the midwest.

Now I don't expect to see any open dispensaries in 2019, but do you think the legalization bills can be passed before the end of the year? possibly allowing for a legal late summer outdoor grow?

i only have 3 neighbors that can see some of my back yard, and i can see theirs. We have big propertys, 2 ish acres each...anyways, i just found out today that all ef em are cannabis users and want to grow too. Im the youngest of the bunch and they all have veg gardens already. So I think they probably already know how to grow too. So much more stoked for legalization now. Gonna be so cool to see some crops around here.

yeh i'm pretty stoked too...i think it will happen this year...been waiting for this for a while...got a mini-fridge stocked with genetics so when that bill hits the governor's desk it better be provisioned for home grow...should not be allowed to hit his desk without it.

Yeah me too, my 70ish year old neighbor asked me if I would care if I saw some plants growing in his backyard lol.

I saw that Snoop Dogg it's going to be playing at our state fair this year. I'm wondering if they are planning on having something passed before then.

I live about 45 minutes from the Illinois state line, and have thought about moving there if legalization ever happens. My only question is whether or not they are going to allow you to grow your own or not. If not, then it is better than nothing, but growing will still be a risk. Not growing my own is not an option for me.

dude, DO NOT move here. this state is a sinking ship and weed aint gonna save us. they just passed 15 an hr minimum wage by 2015 and I know of 3 business's that dont expect to make it after they raise prices. They are close to adding a per mile tax, where you have to pay so many cents per mile to drive on IL roads. They are talking about 700ish dollar vehicle registration fees. My property taxes are over 3000 a year for a 3 bedroom nothin special house, and they are about to do some grocery tax and raise the fuel tax...fuckers are even proposing a tax you have to pay if you move out thats a % of your homes sale price........... That said, if your determined I would look at the southern half of the state. but I know the Sheriffs of Madison and Monroe counties are anti weed cunts. Oh and the whole budget problem i mainly because of the state worker pensions, there are people who make more in a few years of retirement pay than they ever even paid into it. Making 100k a year and retiring at 100k a year is unsustainable LOL, oh well, at least Ill be high as my state implodes

From what I know, personal grow is still in the bills, they’re(the state) hoping to open shops to rec in early 2020. There’s lobbying from the medical growers(none of which are owned by people who live in Illinois) are pushing to limit rec licenses. Which is bullshit. A home grower won’t be able to sell to dispensaries. I’ve smoked some 70 different “medical” strains and they ass suck really bad. Plus they are charging $60-1/8th. While the black market is getting hit by the crap that’s coming out of Michigan and everywhere else. As long as they allow the 12 plant personal garden provision there would be a little boom for indoor growing, but as with everything else in this country all the money is going to be controlled by the few and a few little bullshit nuggets will be dropped for everyone else. Start learning to grow shit weed because prices will keep dropping.

The only hope we have is that IL is an agricultural state, aside from Chicago its all farmland really.

But I believe the Cronos group owns a bunch, if not all the dispensaries in IL.

Marlboro owns 49% of The Cronos group...

If you dont think there is a bunch of BS lobbying going on in chicago your nuts.

Dont be suprised if we dont get growing.

Im hoping we do too, but im not holding my breath
