The stretch is finally stopping. I learned that 3 weeks veg before the flip is plenty of time. Maybe less will be more. Got the chiller in yesterday, installing it today. Tent temps have stayed in the 71-78 degF range as opposed to the 75-84 range before the vented hood install. If you don't have one.....GET ONE. $62.00 and change is soooo worth the price. Res temps have been a constant 83 degF. The chiller will drop that to a constant 68-72 degF. DWC is soooo the way to grow!

.It was pretty good mids, with a few seeds, so I decided to do the "trial run" on something that has potential. I have a boat-load of premo seeds for the next runs.

I originally considered doing a Scrog, but when I stumbled onto the manifold technique from NugBuckets, I quickly went that way. I have a beauty with 8 Cola's that are looking amazing. I adopted Nebula Haze's manifold technique because it's a little bit easier, and faster, and with the same results.
Try this technique on anything BUT auto's. I am setup for 4 plants at a time, which I will do for the auto's, but for photoperiods, I'll only need 2 at a time, for 16 colas and the yield should be around 1/2 - 1 zip PER COLA, every 12 weeks or so.
Try it; you'll LIKE it!!

Your probably going to see even better growth with the chilled water. As for the spotting I tried Vitanimo and all spotting disappeared, Calmag not so much.

hi bubbaGrump
How to you measure the pH/EC?
I got a battery operated pH and PPM meter from Amazon. The pH meter was only off by 0.1% when I finally got around to calibrating it. Every day I use a battery operated transfer pump and siphon out a little bit into a small container. Then I take my readings and adjust accordingly. So far, the PPM's have indicated happy hungry girls, and the pH doesn't swing out of range at all. On Monday the PPM's will be around 650 or so. I only add pH'ed water through the week while monitoring the PPM's. By next Monday, they'll be down around 220 or so, so then I add more nutes, or do a res change (2 weeks), and start all over again. If the nutes drop too much during the week, I add more as needed. Hope this helps. Chow~

Does the ph not rise as your PPM's go down?

I run DWC myself, i had a idea of building smart ph controller a few months ago and i did it, and we are in advanced developing stage if you want more info you can enter my website: http://www.getgrowee.com/

I give you....."WeedZilla"......
This beast has tripled in size from the flip. Kinda' exciting watching this girl go crazy....
Thankfully.......it stopped stretching. Just in time, too. I only have about 4 inches on the tallest cola.
If it doesn't stop stretching, I'll have to bend it out a little....

Yeah, I know about the leaf tips. Yeah, I'm pushing the nutes to the limit. Yeah, I check PPM's and pH every day.
Just switched over to GH Flora line, plus added CaliMag, Liquid Kool Bloom, and HydroGuard.
Just changed the rez and the PPM are ~900, and the pH is 5.8.
Will only add pH'ed water for the next 10 days or so, and monitor the PPM's, adding only when they get below 250.

Got a letter from the USPS telling me they intercepted a shipment of cannabis seeds. An order from the Gorilla made it, no problems. Just choose the stealth option, and you'll be good. They track your pkg from start to delivery. You do like obscure DVD titles, don't you?
