Info source on breeding

Morning!

Anyone know of a good reference source for breeding in terms of something that tracks trait dominance in different strains? There has to be something out there breeders keep or used to keep as a reference, looking to see if anyone's compiled some general strain traits to use as a guide of sorts. Something akin to a "cookbook" for noobs.

Argh! Although experience is the best teacher there are times when you could really benefit from someone else' experience so you're not reinventing the wheel once again. This is likely the kind of info you'd have to pay the commercial guys for I guess.

Too many variables as well
I could give you are clone and there is no guarantee your grow will be the same as mine
Same with weed effects

There is a ton of good information on plant breeding available. I would look at non-cannabis specific breeding as the same methodology can be used. When you start going down a cannabis specific path you run into all kinds of incorrect information from those without any actual education in plant sciences.

This is a great start! Thanks much for that link, never found this at all in many searches. There's a ton a good info in there that point in the right direction, I can make decisions with it and see what I come up with. Maybe someone here will know if any choices are mistakes.

I see your point xtsho, I should really try to find the science behind it, then ask more specific questions. When there's a commercial environment for connoisseur product it gives the initial impression that weed got this specific (diluted, whichever way you look at it) due to some decent science and experience behind it. I hope it hasn't all been bro science. That'd mean I'd have to learn by doing ;)

Thanks guys

Probably a bit of broscience in there, but a good read.
