InkBird humidity WiFi controller

Hi guys

I bought the double pack of InkBird controllers. The heat controller one is fine. No issues.

but the humidity controller itself isn’t the issue. It’s more the dehumidifier. When the controller kicks in to humidify the room it’s fine. My bucket mist Maker kicks in no probs. But when it switches to dehumidifier mode the dehumidifier doesn’t power on it will however if I then push the power button on the unit. Is there a way around this. Maybe there’s a relay in the dehumidifier which stops it from constantly being powered on.

any help would be great.
Many thanks folks

Anyone with experience using environmental controls wanna chime in?

I've never used controllers myself, I mostly just try to keep it simple with timers. If there's any way you can adjust the set points on the dehumidifier to just go into standby mode when the rh is low enough and just keep it powered on, and maybe set the probe from the inkbird close enough to the dehumidifier so the readings can be hopefully close to the same for both units. Hope I helped somehow, even if not directly. Maybe look over the manual that came with it, might be something in there that could help. Could be some type of auto shutoff, but like I said if anyone else can help please feel free, this is not my area of expertise lol

Hope you figure it out, if you have to keep the dehumidifier on and not connected to the controller at least you could still have access to the readings over wifi, and have it alert you if the rh gets too high, then you would know the dehumidifier got full or stopped working for some reason (power loss, malfunction, etc.)

You need a dehumidifier that has the "Auto Restart after outage" feature. Basically if it won't power back on after you unplug it and plug it back in then you can't use it on a controller.
