Inline Fans To Cool 1000w HPS!

I am using an AC Infinity (6") to pull the air out of my 600W cooled hood and it's a good fan for sure.

I would suggest looking into their 8" model. Also make sure you install it so that it is pulling air out of the hood, and not pulling air into it. My temps went from like 90F to 75F when I did this, and nobody (without sarcasm) has ever told me, esp. the hood company told me this until recently.

I'm going to run a 1000w in an xxl hood
In 4x4 area I have the t8.
I also have a 8" scrubber
How would you recommend positioning it.

I exhaust outside of the window in my room and I have found the best results when putting the fan closest to the exit in a config that pulls air out of the hood.

The fan is NOT inside the tent/grow room, it is right next to the exit to the room, and it is again pulling air out of the hood and 'pushing' it out of the window if that makes any sense.

Also the fan is dedicated just to the hood, which I have sealed with a sealant/gasket maker. The tent itself has it's own 200CFM fan that if I were to put a scrubber anywhere (I don't) that would be what I would attach it to. The fan for the hood has no restriction from a scrubber because the air it exchanges is within the hood (which is sealed) so there is no odor produced from the exhanged air of this fan.

So hood is in the tent, use duct to attach the cloudline which physically is sitting right outside the duct port on the tent then use duct to attach carbon scrubber which sits near area where hot air can escape.

No like i said the hood is sealed, there is no scrubber for its exhaust. If I were to put a scrubber anywhere it would be after the Vortex VT 293CFM fan which is actually exchanging air from the tent (vs. from the hood).

The window is on the other side of my room so the ducting is running all the way from the tent to the window across the room, The pic is how I had things before, and how I have things now. Now the AC Infinity fan is right at the window attached to the ducting.

I also have PASSIVE intake into the tent. I had a 4" inline fan intake but the temps were HIGHER (much higher), it is much better now with the passive intake to which I have attached these like DIY air filters to ensure the air coming into the tent is clean. And yes, I know that I'm definitely not a handyman ... or an artist lol :D

Also incidentally that window is now more or less sealed up with insulation and some panda film covering that, not just a wooden board. That worked fine in the summer but in Canada winter, well most winters at least that wouldn't cut it. This winter so far it hasnt been below 0 until like just this week (which is INSANE).

Dimmibal ballast will throw out rf waves 800foot in every direction so if you covert in a shitty area it could get u pinched By the law it will also fuck up WiFi and tv resection if u have cheep wires. My buddy got pinched because a lot of people where complaining about internet speed in one area so a cable guy came out and drove around with an rf detection unit and pin pointed it to my buddy’s house so he he asked if he could come in to check things out and naturally he said no.....well 1hr later cops showed up and basically said you have to let them in.....boom that’s it....mind u he was running an 8k room....ok so 1000 watt i have experimented with.....like a lot....too much....lol... so iv found that keeping the 7200k extra sun my !bulb in untill exactly week 3 into 12/12...(21 days)... will blow them the fuck up... as a posed to switching to hps day 1 of 12/12... the 7200k my keeps them nodes tighter than a crabs ass...also if running photos (cAnt speak on autos never finished one) stick with veg feed untill day 21 of 12/12 their going to need that to power that 3 week explosive growth during the stretch...iv feed 2 weeks veg and switched to bloom feed at day 14 and I can tell I missed out on a lot of growth because they didn’t have enough nitrogen... get that light as close as u can get it iv had my xxxlmagnum hood 4” from tops to glass with no issues when hooked up to my 8” fan sucking heat out into a carbon filter and fans directly hitting the buds 24/7...slowly day by day lower that light 1” at a time as soon as u see taco leafs of curling on the leaf edges raise that hood 3” and let them grow into it...during flower when buds are starting to take off (around week4) they can handle more light without issues...that’s when u attempt lowering it day by day untill u see tacos again then raise it 2” and boom your in the butter zone...be prepared to fuck with the height of that light the first 3-4 weeks untill u hit the butter zone...I had my hood in a 4x4 and could not for the life of me keep them from getting heat stress untill I switched to a 4x8 but I live in a very hot area so u might be good...good job on the ac infinity fan that’s what I run I went with them because they’re more efficient than every other fan on the market these fuckers are going to be running 24 seven so you really want to spend the extra money because you’re saving in the long run they’re also extremely quiet if you’re running covert ops I love those fans can’t speak highly enough about them...
