On the home page if you look at the bottom right corner, you will notice a blank space. What do you think would fit well there.

I was thinking recent comments for the entire maps section.

i like the "featured shop" idea, would be cool you could do like a news article for the featured shop of the month or something,
or maybe like an "events" page. in my town we do hemp fest, its super fun, so its possible to spread word about legal events going on or something
