Intake air temp

Hello all. As winter approaches. I am concerned with my incoming air temps. I have a 7X11x7 insulated grow room that has been constructed inside of a non heated/cooled area. This area gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. The grow room is insulated very well and I am able to control the temp inside, but I am concerned with the incoming air temp for this winter. I know that I could bring air in through my lights and warm it up, but when the lights are not on, it could be as cold as 0 degrees Celsius. Any ideas on how I could heat up this air on its way in? Thanks for any help on this matter.

yes, very simple, get an oil filled radiator or two, build a box big enough for the to stand in, connect your intake to the bottom of the box by making a hole to fit, then put another hole on the other side but at the top/side, run some more ducting.. so now your cold air has to pass through the box.. last thing get a thermostat plug which would be in your grow room set to 18degrees.. .. hope that helps..

the heat is coming from the radiators (i'm assuming some kind of oil based heating device, I'd call it a heater) and it builds up inside the box, which all the air has to move through, thus picking up the hot air from the box, turning the 0 degree air into probably something a bit more manageable...

I gets it... but another idea would be to just close off the intake to the outside during the extreme cold months, and draw your intake air from the living area of the house instead.

Simple and very effective.

Great response!

My solution was from a used appliance store. Got an older small AC that had a heater in it also. 40 bucks and a thermometer to dial in the AC, good for all year. Peace & be kind
