intake question

no,the volume of air you will move is 172cfms with that fan.A 8"x16" vent will do the job.Theres math to find this out,it go's by cubic foot. How many cubic feet is the grow space,172cfm moves 172 cubic feet of air every minute. That means a closet thats 8'longx2'widex8'high=128cf.You will exchange the air in about 3minutes.As long as you have a big enough intake vent. The bigger the vent the faster the air is exchanged all the way up to 172cfms.Two 3" holes will not do it,they will whistle for air.PEACE

in my experience, an 8 inch by 16 inch intake is overkill for 25 square feet. not enough ventilation is easier to cure than too much ventilation.

Damn.. thats a big hole.. lol.
well, shit. Dont have a jig saw.. but i have every damn size hole bit you could think of.
Back to the drawing board.
I was thinking that i was told.. "size of the exhaust(4 inch) x 1.5 = size of the intake."
and with the fan 172 cfm should be PLENTY of fan for my 25 cubic ft space.. right?

The thing you want is air to move. The more air is moved the better the temps staying the same.theres a few things you can do,is drill 3" holes two lines of 4 holes and put a heating vent cover over the holes and open and close it if you want. But more air moving is alot better.Fresh air and alot of it is the best one single thing you can do.Plant love it.PEACE
