Irrigation system. Help

hi everyone, in mid-January I will start a cycle of about 20 plants in 11 lt pots each and, since I know it will become difficult to get to the plants further down, I was looking for a method to give water to my girls not continuously but only when I decide. I found around kits to assemble which however use timed systems and instead I need something that takes the water from the tank and distributes it evenly to each vase, for example: I fill the tank every time, I start the irrigation and when the tank is empty I have finished and after a few days I fill the tank again and start again .. without oxygenation which I do not need since the tank is emptied the same day. do you know of any such kit already ready? or do I have to do it all? thank you very much to anyone who will dedicate their time to me.:weed:

I think drip irrigation could meet your needs. Check out pressure compensating emitters. Thai is a good way to get equal amounts of water to each plant.
I'm sorry but I totally forgot that I had opened the thread, however, in fact, my problem is precisely the water pressure. I have seen several ready-made kits that provide enough pressure to water each pot equally, but I found them only for 10/15 plants and not for 20! And the only thing I've read about it is that after a certain number of plants it's better to take directly 2 kits but it would be too expensive because they would be kits complete with timer, air stone and air pump and these three things, as I said before, I'm not interested. I thought there were kits made specifically to do what I need to do that would avoid me calculating how much pressure I need.

You can use any timed kit. Just set the timer to run when you want to water or bypass the timer entirely.
I know but in fact it was the first thing I thought of but unfortunately I would have to take 2 kits to make sure that the same amount of water arrives equally to each pot and I wanted to avoid taking kits containing things I don't need that would certainly increase the price of the kit.

Have you considered using a room builder like on FloraFlex or The Bucket Company's website?

https://roombuilder.floraflex.com/#/auth

You can definitely build for 20 plants on one pump and reservoir. It just won't be one of those tent kits

To tell you the truth I had already seen some ready-made kits from FloraFlex but I didn't know there was a room builder! I thank you very much because with this message of yours I thought I had arrived at a turning point but unfortunately I live in Italy and as soon as I put the country for shipping it blocks me saying that they do not yet ship to my country....

Wow. So close.

Well, maybe you can build it on their website and make a system with similar parts in your area. Unfortunately, I have a FloraFlex system that I use so, unless you sort out some type of dropship, my knowledge on the subject is pretty limited.

For what it's worth, I have 24 plans in 12l pots that are fed from the same reservoir and same pump.

MidnightSun mentioned pressure compensating drippers. If I lived somewhere that had restrictions or it was just hard to find more specialized gear, I'd probably look deep into PC drippers.

Good luck.

I'm doing what you said, I'm still going to try to do a floraflex setup and then manually search component by component.
It's not that it's so difficult to find the components but surely I preferred to have something ready, as a kit that I had already found, without wasting too much time searching and surely the room builder was the perfect solution.
Thank you very much for helping me brother :bigjoint:

This is my setup, relatively cheap and plenty of pressure for either drip or emitters like I am using now.20190918_101836 (2).jpg20181005_095126 (3).jpg20181005_095114_LI (2).jpg

If you you are going the dripper route than there are a number of setups.
These are a couple my friend is trying.

I used a similar system to this dripper setup when I ran a SOG, worked well.

Hope you find what your looking for.

Thank you so much for the pattern it will be very helpful to me! It's pretty much the pattern I've been looking for even if it's just to figure out how much everything amounts to.
Thanks again brother and happy new year bongsmilie

Bucket. Lines from the bucket all equal length. Equal length eh? Elevate the bucket. Drip emitters at the end of each equal length line.

No pump needed. However I would put an aquarium pump in for aeration.

And I wouldn't ship to Italy or Indonesia either. I used to build custom electric guitars, sell high end units and rare guitars. Italian customs service must work an hour a day at least. PayPal doesn't give the seller their money until the customer receives their purchase and is satisfied. Second time a guitar sat for 5 weeks I said no more anything to Italy.

Nice looking system. Do you control water flow to each plant with those valves on line or valves on 8-way manifold? Do you find this method working well for you? Also what is that connection just before dripper, grey connector in small line. I am currently using only those same sprayers as you to control waterflow, and it is proving hard with little bit weaker pump (~15% in gph, but might be weak in static pressure too). I need to make some changes. I have 13 outlets so maybe pump is too small.

In the pic with manifold and the cut off valves, I stopped using the cut off valves and use the manifold to adjust for each plant. But have found very little need for adjustment, plants water fairly evenly.
I feel the pump is the key, I used the 110 aquarium pumps but could not get the pressure to supple the plant, but when I switched to the RV pump it made a world of difference.

I would agree with a main manifold with 1/4” lines going to each plant. Simply turn the pump on to water and off when your done

I have this setup in a 20gal Rez to feed hempy buckets. I also add a timer for when I’m gone.

if you don’t want a pump. You could do a gravity feed with a shut off valve.Use the same manifold distribution.

Uff I can't find any information about static pressure of pumps. I have only been using those normal little submersible pumps. Any idea where to look?

Just get an RV pump capable of 40-45psi. These are really standard. Most pressure compensating emitters open from 10-50psi give or take a lb. for sizing your pump the pressure is only important to open the emitters after that the flow rate of your pump will dictate how many plants you can feed. For example. If you are using a 1GPM pump. That's 60 gallons an hour. So if you are using 1GPH emitters. Then you could water up to 60 plants theoretically. I imagine the true number is more around 50 or so.

something like this pump

Amarine Made AC 110V Self Priming Water Pressure Diaphragm Pump 17LPM/4.5GPM AMPS:1.0A,MAX.AMPS:1.8A Press Setting:40PSI/2.8bar Caravan/RV/Boat/Marine

Eh unfortunately I know, consider that last year I had to get my girlfriend a birthday present and the only place I could get her what she liked was in America, like a fool I got it anyway. Do you know how it ended up? It ended up that the gift arrived 2 months after her birthday, I had to sign 20 sheets for customs release (you have to specify what products are, price and stuff like that) and I had to pay 50 euros in customs fees... the gift cost 46 dollars. I swear I would like to escape from Italy for many reasons, definitely not for customs, but trust me that in the public administration people work like 2 hours a day and then they do their own shit all the time! To give you an example, I had to go to Amsterdam and I had lost my ID card, I had to redo it or they won't let you leave at the airport and basically I was about to cancel everything because of the time it took to issue the ID card! And trust me it's something that can be done in 20 minutes.
I don't understand how they get through all these cali bags that are flooding Europe. Either they are fake or they are geniuses
