Is bushy bad? pics inside

I have made a few posts already about my plant and everyone has been helpful thus far, so thanks. I am now concerned about the bushiness of my plant. I have a friend that mentioned that I may have my lights too close. Well, I have my lights right on the plant. I have 4 65watt 6500 CFLs at the four corners of the plant and I have 8 other 35watters nearby. I thought the advantage of CFL is that you can keep them really close. So I guess the result is that my inexperience has caused my plant to be squat. Is this bad? Is it good? I have moved the lights 18" above in efforts to correct the issue. Please let me know what to do. Thanks

it's never bad, get your lights back down. They'll stretch out when you start flowering.

you want your CFL's as close as possible 18 is wayy to far away..you need like an inch to two inches

Plants lookin mucho sexy! I would tuck some if the bigger fan leaves back to get some light too the shoots to get it even more bushier!

I'm almost embarrased to show my setup. Since the light "rig" that I made was for two rows of seedlings in a shitty bubble box that i made (im sure that it was overkill for young plants). I just decided to use it my one plant that grew since I was waiting on my 1000w light to arrive (again, overkill for one plant but I thought I was gonna have eight). So anyway, just took this pic. I just bought two cheap vanity bars from Lowes and wired them together. All of the little ligts are from Lowes (6500k 35w) 4 pack for $7. And the big ones were purchased off of ebay 4 65w 6500k lights for $25 but they just raised the price. Here is the link.

I am going to take some clones today and then I will start flowering my plant and then I will put 4 or 6 into the tent.

It looks good, except that it's hungry. Start giving it some weak veg vert, because it's getting a little light in color, indicating lack of nitrogen. The leaves should perk back up, within a day or so, afterwards. If not, give it a little more N, next feeding. If you want it to perk up faster, go with a weak foliar feeding, of veg fert, along with the root feeding. It should perk up within a couple hours.

bushy is good thats how my indicas usually start. Might want to start chopping the lower stuff off though. No way the bottom branches are gonna see any light with massive fan leafs everywhere

seen crazier setups than that, I strongly suggest you put reflectors on the back sides of the bulbs more than half your light is just radiating off into space.

man if its all focused on the plant i would love to see how much it helps it even more

u know i recently made the bucket hydro system and instead of putting reflectors for my lights i built a reflective wall with cardbord
i cant wait to watch it grow
