warships ≠ battleships

PLAN has zero battleships. Nobody has laid the keel for a battleship since World War 2.
That statement alone says you know nothing of what your talking about as China had zero battleships during ww2 and we have built nuclear battleships that have tremendous lengths of time at sea with way more advanced technology than that of ww2.

there has never been a nuclear battleship. Nuclear propulsion was preceded by the obsoletion of the battleship. I suspect you are unaware of the correct use of the term.

How am I contradicting myself we have both icbm loaded warships and long range nuclear powered battleships please correct me sir and I really didn’t know as I am not nor was I in any nuclear programs in the military but I do know when we did six months at the end of our enlistment on a fucking carrier I learned a little bit about our military history and it’s navy as you should do too

give one (1) example of a nuclear-powered battleship that conforms to the third-party definition I posted some minutes ago. For convenience, I repeat it here.

Yes, they're a threat, but we are just as much of a threat to them.

It would be nice if we could set aside our crimes against humanity and just get along.

worth noting: battlecruiser is a distinct class from the first-line battleship. Russia built at least one battlecruiser with nuclear propulsion, but no student of seapower mistakes it for a battleship.

Warships (though their operators affectionately call them boats), yes. But battleship is defined by its complement of large naval rifles.

The French did actually build what was officially termed a cruiser submarine. Her main armament was a pair of eight-inch (203mm/50) guns in a pressure-tight turret (which must have been an absolute nightmare when submerged).

As for the missile boats, they constitute their own class. US does have large surface vessels dedicated to missile gunnery, but designates them cruisers or frigates.

The Japanese … well now.

In the 80's and 90's a large amount of MFG went to China, remember the buy USA campaigns well we chose the $7.99 WMart sweaters in addition to a dizzying array of cheap products and China became the MFG. center of the world. Pros and cons an be debated, cheaper products vs. loss of MFG. base. The US hoped this newfound wealth would result in China becoming more democratic w/its people uplifted from a agrarian farming society into a MFG based society was one of the pros. The Chinese govt. played the long game and quietly gained technology and opened up w/ somewhat moderate leaders. This all changed w/ Pres. Xi rising to power coincidently right about the time when China had reached a near peer stage w/ the US,he cracked down on what freedoms had been gained over 40+ yrs. and pumped nationalism and the US as an adversary to promote his hard line. China has become a bully and con artist in international affairs. They reject international laws regarding territorial waters, fishing rights, nat. resources, and airspace. They con poor countries w/ loans for improvements and turn them into indentured servants. I hope war is averted between us but the trends are alarming,I don't buy the China is a new power and the US is a declining power thesis as they are a ancient civilization and the US isn't even 300 yrs, old. I ask one question, with China's recent rise what would happen if we bombed the Chinese embassy by mistake in a conflict today vs. when we did it in the Balkans war in the mid 90's? Back then they accepted reparations and apologies, would the same hold true today w/ all China's recent flexing?
