I don't care what anyone says... Less is more especially Autos... Why defoliate? yes maybe a little to let bud sites get some of that light action, but Autos have no time too fuck around. Every time you F with them you slow their growth. Autos just don't have the time for it.
Damn. I wish I had read your post before I defoliated my auto again. :D;)

Drain to waste coco/perlite. Switched from Mega Crop 1-part to Jack's 3-2-1. They're all fed the same 1.3 EC feed right now.

Grow journal link in my signature below.
Whay the switch from MC and what version? 1 needed more Cal Mag and 2 they added it but seemed to not be liked by most and i believe 2.5 was the last change so far and it was doing good.

MC 1-part is the newest version, 3 I believe. I just bought it in October to start my new grow in my new space. It's a great nutrient, but I need something that I can easily remove the nitrogen or add tweak something else.

I've not had the best experience defoliating. Its not to bad if you take 2 or 3 leafs in one go and then don't touch it again, but if your taking leafs one day then taking more a few days or a week later, it really stunts there growth.

I believe it also triggers a reaction in the plant to produce smaller slender leafs, Like in nature as a reaction to having leafs eaten by animals. The plants response is to produce a high quantity of smaller leafs.
None of what you posted here is true. I hope you've already moved on.
