Is this LED overkill for a 2x5 space?

Is this light overkill for flowering a 2x5 space?

The space is very tall with ventilation directly above the light so heat is not a major issue. I just want top of the line gear and HID equivalent light output and nug density

I am an HID guy trying to get in to LEDs. Would that be overkill or otherwise not be a good pick because the rack will fill up most of the horizontal space and the pucks will be close to the sides?

Would I be better off with 4-5 pucks down a single 48" canopy rail like this one?

I like the modular design of the pucks. But would I be better off with 2 HLG 300L Rspec instead?

Your input is greatly appreciated

Have a good weekend everybody :bigjoint:

Too bad. Could you wait? A ton of the good lights are sold out right now. More and more people have started growing weed lately with this COVID shit going on. I'm glad I got mine before the craziness. I have HLG, but really like these ChilLed lights.

Chilled has some cosmetically damaged ones for sale. I'm not sure if the price is good though. I've never shopped for strips.

There's some good strips, boards, and cobs out there. HLG and Timber are a couple good ones. How much height do you have to work with?

Another idea is to get a couple QB's instead of one big one. That way you can adjust them to different heights if you want. You can also create a better light spread with multiple lights. I have 2 HLG 135's in my 2x4 veg tent, and 5 HLG lights in my 3.5x8 flower closet. The ChilLed and Timber lights are already spread out nice though.

I have 8 feet of vertical height to work with.

Those timber lights look well built. Are cobs as good as qbs nowadays, shiet is so confusing for an older HID guy. Plus half the youtube guys get free lights for their "opinion'

Did you decide on a light yet? I’m also looking for a light upgrade but stuck between a few of the ones mentioned here
