Far as i know the true purple kush is 100% indica, its hindu kush x purple afghani. That plant is not purple kush. I have grown the true pk before as well. May be purple kush crossed with a sativa dominant.

I got the purple kush seeds off growers choice. I have two purple kush plants but it's twin is budding like crazy and staying shorter! So that's why I'm a bit confused. Didn't want to go through all the trouble buying seeds from the UK and going through customs. But I know I'm taking a chance that it might not be the real deal. Anyway next year I'm gonna be buying from seedsman and sannie seedbanks for the herijuana seeds.

I got my Strawberry Gum and Blue Gelato #41 from seedsman and they threw in 3 free Jack Herer and 3 Gelato OG only 1 dud out of all the seeds. Nice and discreet and came in about 2 weeks. Funny part was they emailed me saying it shipped the same day it was in the mailbox lol. Customs shouldn't be an issue, pretty sure they send to the US in bulk then it gets broken up into individual orders and shipped from within the US to you.

Nice man! If I could go back in time I would of ordered from them. I guess I was all paranoid about losing seeds and money in the mail. But sounds like most people don't have any problem.

Yes in fact I purposedly let them always have a dry out period. I'll usally soak the pots good and let them dry out about 2-3 days depending how hot it is. And
Amazingly for the last 2 months it's been in 80-95 degree range. I guess the soil mix holds the mositure well but not too much. I also lower the temp in the grow space by wetting ground down early to mid day. I wanted to make sure they really developed a good root system and forced them to search for water.

If it's a rainy day about 4-5 days dry out period. Some the stems are thick as hell! My biggest worry and nightmare is bud worms on my buds! Everyones been talking about the horror stories finding rotting worm shit in their buds! Damn mantises are taking forever to hatch.

My only defense currently is yellow jackets and maybe some stray frogs. Or maybe have to cover the greenhouse with plastic sooner than expected. I never thought butterflies and moths could cause chaos on weed! Always kindda liked them before growing. Not anymore! Used to hate yellow jackets and now respect the bastards and would never kill one again!

Anyway been a long 4 months and about 2 more months to go! People dont give farmers enough credit!
I can just imagine the stuff you have to fight off an outdoor marijuana plant. Bugs, vermin, deer, humans. I went out to pick tomatoes and there was a huge green Caterpillar thing that took a bite off each tomato like some asshole would. I executed him for his crimes immediately. Seeing that on marijuana would have made my blood boil lol.

Taking all year for a harvest then having to harvest it all at once would be a hell of an undertaking. I grow perpetually indoors, and even a month wait between harvests just about kills me. What is your plan for harvest time?

I would try to get a machine trimmer if I where you. You can rent them for ~500$ a day from a grow store. A few grand deposit though. It will eliminate the need for a large crew and if you have some one experienced your bud will come out with a great commercial trim. You will harvest really fast if you have a couple people ahead of you taking buds off the stem. Twister brand trimmers give a quality trim with minimum user input, but are more expensive with higher deposits. I have a Centurion, its a lower cost trimmer, that takes a lot of attentiveness but still very effective. I love doing the work so it is no bother to me to stay moving.

Not sure where you are growing at, are harvesting services available there? You might be able to hire an experienced crew that runs a trimmer for around the same price as a trimmer rental, its why people hire me. Hiring friends that will work for weed is a great advantage also, just make sure they know what they are doing and stay on top of the work. Also, a lot of people that help you trim expect a huge payback instead of what they earned. They get all butt hurt when you don't give them most of your crop in exchange for some lame work and no money invested in your 6 month expedition. So expect that, along with them wanting to choose what buds they are paid in. Its usually your best tops lol. Make due with what you can, just watch out for snakes.

I ordered from Seedsman and was happy. Unopened packaging like I wanted. It went through customs fine. Attitude Seeds opened my original packaging, and put my seeds in little baggies. I was not happy.

yeah, I don't think it's uncommon for seeds to come out of their pack. Or at least it didn't used to.

It would make me feel a lot better if the seeds where in a pack from the breeder. But that is easy to fake also. The best phenos I have gotten are from established growers so I quit hunting down seeds. I did order some auto flowers that came in their pack and with all the info on it. Makes the experience a lot nicer/confident I would say.

Edit: Just from what I seen on this site recently, a lot of breeding packs are easy to fake. There are businesses based on faking seeds lol. Who knows what your getting they can use any excuse when its not what you expected.

Im trying to harvest last week of october to maybe first week of november. I have 4 people helping me but its my immediate family. It's only 12 thc plants so we should be able to hand trim it. And even though im busting my ass doing most all the work I have to divide the top colas evenly. But don't really care never had a top cola in my life. So its gonna be pretty exciting regardless!

I think you will be really happy with your harvest, the purple definitely looks like a November. I always expect the worst out of humans, too many encounters with hood rats. Its great you have your family supporting you in this venture, I hope it blooms bigger every year for you. Good luck man!
