It's been awhile

I grew for a few years indoor and got away from it for various reasons. Grew a few outdoor this last summer to get back in the swing and the Chocolope is out of this world Sativa.
Anyway, I was gifted all this grow equipment so I thought I would get back into it indoors.
Here's what I have...
Used to grow with a 400w hps. Medium grade smoke... good enough but nowhere near what's capable.
This is my first experience with LED.
Mug600 LED. Very little info but from the specs I've found it equates to the PlatinumLED 600.
185 Veg, 385 Bloom.
Fox farms Ocean, FF trio.
Fed 1/3 dose FF recommended dose at 5 weeks.
Bag seed indica.
Chocolope Sativa from my outdoor grow after she hermed a bit. It was a sick clone I was given and I brought her back to life. Hope it's not genetics and just the early care and tough growing conditions this summer.
I love this hobby and have missed growing.
Finally time to learn the science.
You've all been a big help many years ago getting through some strenuous grows.
Flip 5 days ago @ 7pm.
H2o two days ago and they took off.
Just learning my way around LST. Haven't decided on netting them or just keeping them tied down. Just learning more as I go. They appear real healthy and might not feed them for awhile. Easing my way back into it.
Temps at night 69-71
Day 80-84
Humidity night 23-26
Day 30-40.
Looking for them to drink more and feed shortly if necessary.
Thoughts, advice, criticism welcome.
Pictures are from yesterday and they're drinking real well as of today.

Took a quick peek at ShopGrow Spaces website. You are correct. There is VERY little good info on that light. But ...

... that familiar dark grey 3.75" tall housing, the exhaust openings on the top, those separate red VEG/BLOOM switches and their recommendation to "turn on the second switch to boost the light to full 345 watt capacity and modify the spectral output to encourage unbelievable flowering in the same space" - begs me to inquire ... is this a BLURPLE?

You know, I'm so new to LED I'm confused on a lot of it still...
However, I found the specs through MyUrbanGreenhouse, which is shut down and then the site you mention. That led me to PlatinumLED for more specs. They appear identical.
Is it considered a blurple by light alone?
Thanks

Blurple.
Looking to upgrade to a bit more square footage. I'm not limited in space but liking the tent grow so far. I grew in a smaller room previously and had nothing but issues. Part due to hps, and part due to eliminating humidity.
How do they look 5 days in?

keep rh over 50 all the way through if you can, its not a problem with proper airflow. look up vpd if your interested what you need to do for a plant to reach her potential. leaf temps is key

... Blurple ...
Thought so.

No problem - you can get pretty decent yields from blurples. It's not going to be HPS or QB/COB level ... but you still get a good amount of very enjoyable weed. As long as you have a good exhaust set-up, even a 190 CFM fan at 60% - 70% speed will remove the waste heat from the blurples. They do get warm but not HID warm.

So ... I am not sure if you have both of the switches turned on - but if not, I recommend that you flip both on and run like that for the whole smash. Regardless of VEG or BLOOM, both switches on gives you better growth. VEG needs a little bit of red ... BLOOM needs just a touch of blue.

What size is your tent? 2 x 4 ... 4 x 4? And what's the current hanging height of the light?
... How do they look 5 days in? ...
They look good. If you are just 5 days in, they are just cranking up their flower stretch. There won't be much to see in the way of actual flowers for a bit yet.

2x4. Looking at 4×4 and another light for my next purchase very soon. I'll use that for flower and veg in the 2x4 with the MUG. Did a great job in veg.
Both switches are on.

I had the light at 14" for a day or so. Appeared to be a little close as the leaves were coming out a little funky. It's at 16 now. Most of the grow so far I've been between 16-18.
Lumens @ 65,000 top middle, gradually going down to 45 on the far ends. Just a cell phone app. Is this too much or too close?
Closer?
Right now I'm working on getting my RH up a little.
Again, most of this gear fell into my lap, so I'm more than willing to upgrade, add to, change, etc.
Thanks for the help and advice.

The fan can be outside the tent. You are drawing air through the filter.

Blurples are great VEG lights with both switches on. I am still using those Viparspectra blurples for my VEG area.

18" is about the closest you want. I set mine to 20" but was also using slightly higher wattages. In the final few weeks of flower, raised them to 24".

Free is always good. We also use a wood stove and the best wood is free wood!

A 4 x 4 would require beefed up lighting. What is your price range for upgraded lighting?

Would like to stay under 1k for the light. Also trying not to go over 300 on a tent.
And of course all the accessories to get it up to standards. $50 here, $50 there.
I have a 12x12 room that I'm sure will eventually become the main grow area. Easing in while I learn. I can grow good weed, and my outdoor was incredible, but now I'm going to get a good handle on indoor growing. I've got Covid by the balls.

Brought the lights up to 18... my Sativa lady is going to go crazy.

Day 7.
Fed 1/2 dose yesterday and they're responding well after lights on this morning.
Well water PH 7.59
Nute PH 6.40
Run off PH 5.4 (too low??)
Ppm 760 - Not quite sure where this is supposed to land with FF trio and Sesame.
I'll post better pictures later. These are some portrait pics my lady friend took to hang in the grow area.20210211_081248.jpg20210211_081223.jpg20210211_084533.jpg

There will be those who will recommend the SMD knock-off path ... but not moi. I recommend lights like these:

HLG 600 RSpec - https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/all/products/hlg-600-rspec
TIMBER Redwood VS - https://timbergrowlights.com/redwood-vs/

Both lights are suited for 16 square feet of coverage. The HLG 320 RSpec provides great lighting for my 2 x 4.

Yup. Although sometimes we are our own worst enemy cause we buy "neat growing stuff" that we really don't need. :D

You will get great indoor growing advice here on RIU.

So - in your future 12 x 12, will you be subdividing into VEG and FLOWER spaces? Or is it just for flowering?

Betcha she likes that light height.

I have a buddy that's letting me use a Sonofarm Pro 4000.
Haven't looked into the specs that much but looks like a decent light for a 4×4?
I'll keep your suggestions in mind when I expand.
I'm definitely my worse enemy when it comes to growing things but when it's a hobby, what the hell. I just want to be left alone to grow my weed and smoke it whenever I please.
8×8 of the room will be flower with 6' high walls open above. The closet will be the veg area. 4×8 with a cubby door access outside main grow room.
Both locations will be vented out the old chimney stack.
The Sativa was given to me as a sickly clone late last spring. Nursed it along all summer outdoors and turned out to be a decent harvest even though I had to chop early because of frost.
Anyway, this is a seed from that lady. Got a total of 8 from her.
Some of the best pure Sativa I've smoked.
She's taking off today after feeding and raising the light a little.20200827_090021.jpg
Second from right. Full blown male. Got the ax early.

Update. Day 13.
Fed this morning after moving into 4x4 with the Pro 4000 additional lighting.
The Sativa stretch is at full bore and drinking real well. Might have to net the ladies soon. Just playing it by ear and adjusting the lights accordingly.
Any thoughts?
Light off photos from yesterday, others from today after feeding.

Last picture looks best ... you can see more of the tops in that one. The stretch is almost done - if not completely done - so those white crowns will start to bulk up.

Day 40 will look sweet!

What is your RH?
