keeping clones in the fridge

Ive heard and researched a little bit on keeping clones in the fridge. Aparrently you can take cuttings and put them in a ziplock bag, (not moist as it will encourage roots on the stems)and then when you're ready the clones can be put in jiffy pellets or rockwool and get roots.

Has anyone tried this?
Im living in a small unit and have no room for a mother or vegging the next lot of plants. So im thinking if i can take a bunch of cuttings keep them in the fridge untill my harvest is finished or close to, 8 weeks lets say and start the clones in a clone box ready at harvest time if you catch my drift.

So anyone tried this?

Yep. Do it all the time
Make sure you don't leave them too long and re cut the stem before you put em in. You won't get 100% success I find they take longer to root because they kinda go dormant and take a few days to kick back. Used to do this often from the fields we planted in took cuts wrapped bottoms in wet paper towel inside Ziploc bag. I could keep them like that in the fridge for up to a month but you need to air them out and change paper towel/spray them with h2o2 and water so they don't mold. If you notice some dampening off take.those out the dome right away. They won't survive and they'll f up the rest around them
8 weeks is too long imo
If you don't have near 100% success rate normally and aren't exp with cuttings then you won't have a good time.

you can make a small mom work in smaller space than you think. how tall is your flower tent? I had a setup for a while with a 5 ft flower tent and a 3 ft veg tent on top. even a 1x2x3" box would work. wouldn't even need to keep moms per se just take clones, when they get big enough take the tops as new clones, by the time they are rooted and 6" tall your harvest should be done. rinse and repeat.
