This is confusing a friend over here in Zimbabwe took me to see some original landrace growing in hydro. Ok cool so far
But there only getting 12.5 hours of light and still vegging.
Do that with our hybrids your just going to get a little plant or probably ok with an autoflower.

So what's stopping these from flowering.
Do they wait for a particular time of year
Do they have to mature a bit then switch over
What sends them into flower.

Well they are sativa landraces and require 6 months to a year to complete their full cycle.

I read about types from the equator that can have two year cycles.

Those have to have some sort of auto type genetics since the day length never changes.

Thanks guys was wondering why the auto bit in genetics did spring too mind as something that kicks it into flower. Days are 12.5/13.5 hours pretty much unchanging.
Would a bit of light depravation say too 9 or even 6 hours a day cause it to switch.
Just a thought.

I just watched a podcast and they were discussing how Malawi will not flower until atleast 7 weeks of vegging. The gentleman said the plant takes awhile to mature NO MATTER THE LIGHT CYCLE

The light cycle where Malawi originates from only varies abit more than an hour all year. So it vegges and flowers in approximately 12/12

It's around the same here from 12/13.5 I think is the max
Theres 3 seeds INA Dutch bucket been in at least ten weeks have managed to keep them short so far
Getting nice and bushy. But no signs of sex yet or going into flower.
I used shorter hours to kick autos into flower was thinking, wonder if it will do the same. Find out in a bit

Shorter light hours will not make an autoflower go into flower.

Had some pure sativa come in from Zimbabwes oldest city area Masungo
Main man of the village asked me to sample his weed
There's two types too dry and a lovely wrap to smoke while I wait.
A wrap of dry 5 bucks if I brought from them.

Fuck I love this job collecting landràce and smoking samples LOL

Bugger no seed now havta have that strain
Wicked high grabs the pineal with a warm surrounding glow that also focuses on the abdominal area.
