Leaf Burns with Neem Oil

1. When I mix neem oil I use it at half what it says. It says to use 1oz/ gallon. I use .5 oz/gallon.
2. Have you ever burned sulfur in your veg room or anytime in veg? The reason I’m asking is because if you burn sulfur, and then spray your plants the combination of water and sulfur can turn into an acid and burn the shit out of your plants. If you burn sulfur then stay away from spraying. And if you spray. Stay away from sulfur.
3. Always spray at lights out. Never spray when the lights are on. It will burn your ladies.

How about just making the mix pretty diluted. Using only water and neem oil.
Here's the good part.
Dumping the water/neem mix into the medium of the plants.
The root system should exorb the oil and distribute it through out the plant. Not burning anything. Unless too much neem, idk has never happened to me.
I believe from experience that this can be done and should be done 2-3 times a month. EVEN B4 THE INFESTATION STARTS. By doing so you would be preventing the problem from even starting. Some insects lay their eggs in the soil as well. So, this will help stop the respawning of the insects from happening.
I used to be able to get this brown powder that you just mix in the water and feed it to plants. This stuff was like magic but, that store is not open anymore. That's why i have stayed experimenting with other stuff. More organic the better.
Last but not Least,
I do not believe that( especially indoors) anyone should spray ANYTHING on the leaves them selfs. This can cause so many more problems. Like Burning The Leafs by spraying while the lights were on or the spray was not able to fully dry b4 lights coming on. Molds and other problems can also easily appear when spraying the leaves.

well i for one have learned something new about neem oil today. dont know if ill try it again though. although now im using bio grow all mix and not cheap shitty soil ive had no need to, fingers crossed!
sorry about how bad your grow turned out yoji, its a very costly lesson to learn. at least it wont happen again and you can just chalk it up to experience.

I’m using at 5ml per liter no problem

Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet but application is key! I followed dosage levels. I lightly sprayed my plants one session, they were fine. Heavily sprayed the next time and, no bueno. They recovered but I definitely lost some overall vigor. Leaves turned dark green, thinned up and pre flowers looked tinged. That hit me hard. Felt like crying. They bounced back but I’m still 6 weeks from harvest ... too early to make any judgement on overall bud quality ... and potential long term damage. APPLICATION is HUGE! Apply lightly! I’m still kicking myself over such a stupid mistake.

Never use the RTU neem oil spray from home depot. I shook it up good sprayed a few minutes before lights out so I could see. Then I went to bed. Lights came on after 6 hours on a timer. I woke up about 2 hours after lights on and the plants 3 weeks from seed were all very damaged. One plant lost the entire top and 80% of foliage. It's still alive but it's very sad that a RTU product would cause this kind of damage. No matter how safe something supposedly is you can never be too careful. Not sure if neem reacts to other products. But it was the 6th product sprayed on them over the course of 3 weeks. On the positive side I haven't seen a mite in a few days but know I need to keep up on spraying every 3-5 days with rotating products. Luckily I do pest control for a living so I have access to just about anything. Horticulture oil never caused this kind of damage.
