Learning another language..

So, I was wondering if anybody has experienced this phenomenon of forgetting simple words from your native language when learning another? I've been immersed in Spanish for about 33 days now for 4-6 hours a day. I have had to go to the wife and ask "how do you spell Lesson in English?".. for some reason, I thought there was an A in there somewhere. I knew perfectly how to spell it in Spanish tho. And while in the middle of a session, (my headphones on), she'll come ask me a question in english, and I just lock up for a couple of seconds and not know how to answer her.... it's kinda weird. It's like your brain that has known these words for decades decides to put them on the back burner while new words are coming in.

i want to learn how to insult people in Spanish/Mexican, it just sounds funnier than english
Had a Mexican Woman liked messing with me. Seems other didn't like it and beat the something out of her.

I was friends with her Daughters on FB and had Friend Request. I just was oking all that were friends with the women.

Had some pictures come up that were questionable. Come to find out I was friends with the Mexican Drug Cartel.

One factory in town now is running 24 hours a day seems they hired a bunch of Latinos with Green Cards. Yea Right! Been through this before.

It´s normal. I had to think about some words in my mother language when living 6 months in England.

5 languages: First one is hardest, every other is simplier, when you find out, how the language works. I found watching films I already know in other language very helpfull.

I´m actualy visiting this pages not only for sharing my weed passion, but to keep "some" level of english, as i have no oportunity to use it except reading science books.

I do find patterns in the conjugation, and there are days when the light comes on for me. But, it's getting easier to understand. I can read much better than speaking or understanding fast speaking Spanish speakers. I have to tell them "Habla mas despacio por favor" I still spend 3-4 hours immersed in it. Maybe after a year or two, I'll be more fluent. I even talk to my dog in Spanish just to practice LOL!
