@MedicGrow I've got two Fold-8's and I notice today when light goes out, they're still "on". I guess small amount of amperage goes through light, is this a problem?

I assume that you have it hooked up to a timer, and when the timer is off, the light is not shutting off completely, correct? If so, the issue is most likely with your home wiring, and that your hot and neutral wires are reversed. What's happening is that the timer is a single pole times, and instead of shutting off the hot line, like it should, it's cutting neutral, and a bit of current is still trickling through the hot line. You can get a receptacle tester from your local hardware store for like $10 to see if that's the issue. If it is, you can either fix your wiring, or make a cable which will reverse the wiring for you before it hits the timer.

What kind of timer are you on? Plug mount?, mechanical latch?, magnetic latch? You should have zero voltage running at "lights out".

I've had mars lights do this, and the timer was the issue. I had to manually unplug the light.

I don't know what country you're in, but for USA power you need something like this to test your outlet, to be sure that it is wired correctly: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Power-Gear-3-Wire-Receptacle-Tester-50542/206212329
I'm guessing your wiring is "hot/neu reverse"..

9 out of 10 threads have resulted in the timer being the issue. Got a spare laying around to test it? That should help narrow it down at least.

Did you try switching the plug maybe you are cutting the wrong side faze and null.that fixed it for me.could allsoo be that its not groundedwhen you tuch the lamp you die or it glows a little stronger

Plug the light into the same socket, but without the timer, and check if there's still light when it's off. If the light's fully off after this, you know it's the timer that's fucking up.
If it still is on without the timer when it's supposed to be fully off, it's probably your hot and neutral wires reversed.

IF the wiring is reversed, it's a simple fix.. Either just reverse the wiring inside of the plug, if you are confident with power. Otherwise just but a short extension cord, cut it in half and reconnect the splice in reverse (green to green, black to white, and white to black. Then plug in your new custom cable to the wall, your timer to the cord, and your light to the timer. Fixed.

Yes, it's a problem. If it's reversed your timer is cutting the neutral leg instead of the hot leg.
