LED STRESS - PURPLE STEMS, SAGGING LEAVES

Hi there! I recently upgraded to LEDs and in the mean time parted with the experienced grower I had partnered with... (boot straps up, organics incoming!)

So last run (I didn't finish it) I noticed that the plants began to curl and stems became purple and very hard during the veg state. Mistakenly I had the lights turned up to 100%...

Now I am noticing the they are starting to resemble the plants from last run, I have dimmed the lights but the PPFD seems to be on track of the 300-500 recommended for the vegetative state. I hardly know how to ask for help but after searching the forums for answers I decided to put the energy out to receive some, Thanks in advance!

They are pretty green aren't they @youraveragehorticulturist . The thing that stands out to me is the small pots. I wonder if they're root bound.
I had trouble when I went to LEDs. Burnt them a lot. The plants stand the fans up more when they're getting too much light. More like they're "praying". I don't see that in your pics. A little too green and likely rootbound I'm thinking.

stop feeding dude- let them dry out abit and 1/2 the nutrients for a couple feeds, if your worried about led burn raise the light 200 mm see what happens, you may need some larger pots

The girls were planted July 1, so the roots have filled the pots but not so much root bound. I have fed them with an array of feeds trying to get them to look like the freedom four plants I have outside planted in the ground. I am unable to raise the lights cuz this is two tiered, but I did dim them to 50% because the plants on the outer parts of the tray (further from the lights) seemed to be the least affected. Thanks for the feed back @Scuzzman @MustGro @youraveragehorticulturist

Are you in organic soil now? Or are these plants in some soul-less mix getting bottled nutrients until you switch to dirt next round?

Because those pots are too small for soil! 1 gallon pots are young plants, for 2-3 weeks. Then roots need more room.

I can't really say much about pot size with soilless and bottled nutes style growing. Some of those dudes grow in tiny containers just to show off.

How long do you plan to veg for? If you're running out of height you might take a few inches off the tops of your plants to make room for fresh new healthy growth. If you have time for that.

What strain are you growing? I've been messing with some of these tall, lanky Cookies crosses that look like your plants this past year. They're light feeders compared to other stuff I've grown. And they seem more light sensitive too. I keep burning them up or overfeeding them till they're purple too.

Don't follow numbers given by manufacturers. It's just advertisement and marketing. Higher numbers sell more product, but that doesn't mean the numbers and ranges have practical application.
