I suffered a horrible accident and bud was left drying in the closet for about 5 weeks. Can I still finish the harvest and cure it or should I just throw it? It still when you touch the buds and you can feel the resin in the bud and it still smells. It is just bag weed I grew Indica dominant... any advice would be appreciated... thank you....

If it was dried under good conditions then it's been curing already. What was the temp and RH? Should be smokeable if it wasn't too humid and has rot. Sorry to hear about your accident, good luck.

Smoke it and try it. What the hell is the matter with you? Unless it’s moldy pack a bowl or roll a fatty.

Guy wasn't sure, that's why he's asking. What the hell is the matter with you?
Well my only question would be if he don't know, how is anyone else supposed to know. Only answer is to send out samples to all us other farmers to check it out or to simply try it and evaluate it to see if its usable. I mean unless someone came into his drying area and dusted it with rat poison or something or it is all moldy or rotted it sure isn't going to hurt you. And, it was in a closet, so I'm assuming OP picked that area to dry because the humidity and temp was reasonable. Unless the home has really high humidity, doubt there is any mold issues. More chance of mold from jarring too soon. OP didn't say it smelled bad or was moldy. Light it up! (or get a set of bubble bags).
Sorry about the accident.

Why would you toss it? If you've ever gotten weed on the street or from a dispensary it's just been dried. The only people that cure their weed are people that grow it themselves. Even then not everyone cures their weed. I dry it, jar it, and smoke it. I don't bother with burping, boveda packs and all that. My weed tastes and smokes just fine. I don't like months old weed. I prefer it fresh.

If it's so dry that it just crumbles then put it in a jar with as piece of lettuce or something to add some moisture. Smoke that shit. It's not as if the THC evaporated away.

That's what I was thinking.... but I'm very new at this... I appreciate the honesty and to the point advice... sometimes the advice I get is so technical it makes my head spin... thanks again...

It's about 70 degrees with humidity at around 40 percent... it's looks good but I just don't know. My fiance harvested it and hung it to dry when I was in the hospital and it's just been drying... so I was curious if it was still good...

if it's too dry, throw it in a zip lock bag with a couple of drops of water in the bag (not on the bud) and put it somewhere warm for a few hours and it will rehydrate

I would put it all in a large bin with 55 or 58% boost packs, big ones. A slow remoisturizing will work imo I just wouldnt go up into the 60s.

You tell us. Try it.
Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone but I finally got to try it... I got to time these things cause of random urine tests at work....LOL... I know it was bag seed and I don't know the strain and I don't smoke that often, once every couple of months but it seemed really weak to me. I rehydrated it with banana peels for a few days and it was really sticky shit but I didn't see any mold. I smoke a joint and honestly, it felt weak to me. I had some friends try it out a few days later and both said it was smooth, very weak high.
