Yeah, same deal with Slurricane. It got popular so then the shady breeders started making knock-offs, like Archive.

The deal with Archive was that he wanted other breeders to put in "work". He didn't want you crossing breeder 'A' strain [Purple Punch] and cross to breeder 'B' strain [Dosidos] and then just sell it. Perhaps after you get A × B Make male or choice female and breed it out to C [ Sour Diesel ]
Now go forth from there.
All Archive did was breed out Dosidos which he had made.
In House does lots of this in the past. To each there own, but this about the legitimacy of cuts.

Archive could have given their cross of PPxDSD a unique name but instead deliberately chose the same one as IHG. "Dough-lato" is confusingly similar to Dolato, too, and not just a coincidence.All Archive did was breed out Dosidos which he had made.

Archive is a knock-off brand like CopyCat.

I had trouble with selfing my Slurricane cut. I got it to reverse ok, but didn't seem to get any viable pollen. The Runtz cut I reversed on the other hand dumped good.

I already explained to you why archive did this. He didn't want other breeders just crossing to strains and putting it out that are not clone only. If you are using are work, in your project's, take it a step further.
Sounds like and easy concept too me to get. Sounds more like a troll to prove a point.

Now people are in a rush to get "the cut"...fuk that sxxx it all came from someone else before that. You found and grew a nice plant. Whopdee.

Right now the gates are open so cuts are selling for big money
its always been a gamble unless u got it directly from the person who made it I used strainly and snagged Some clone only for a good price .. I also went to an event and snagged clones which was way higher in price
top dawg wanted 500-1k per cut but it was from his hands if that matters .. I kno I can get the Corey cut online but getting it from him just takes away all doubt for example
I think most breeder cuts were 1k .. I have a cut I bought and I won’t say if it’s real or not Bc I haven’t flowered it but it’s not looking like it should I’m gonna upset if it isnt ..some socal master kush

People pay for stuff just because of the name even though a name means absolutely nothing. It's been going on for years. 20 versions of White Widow. The same with OG Kush. Once that gravy train ran out it became Obama Kush, Banana Kush, etc...
Now those are old worthless strains to many so they just change the name to Strawberry Twilight Snowflake Haze or something with cake, cookies, zkittlez in the name. Half that crap is the same seeds. It's either that or some crossed to death polyhybrid that tastes like all the other crap out there. But people line up for it waiting on some drop eager to pay $30 or more for a single seed. It's a complete joke.
Cannabis growers are some of the most gullible people on the planet.

Archive trashed themselves by putting out cheap imitation copies of Slurricane, don't blame me. They could have chosen their own name or used some other brand name but instead they pissed all over their own brand.

As a breeder I wouldn't want anyone just crossing 2 strains on the market and leaving it at that.
A newer example is pheno addicts with Bebe [Triangle Mints F1 × Mac F1] and crossed to many other strains.
So how can you agree with In House not working a strain? Which is way worse? Me making fun of you for not being a true breeder using my genetics?
Or you crossing 2 strains no work done?

Yeah been seeing all the robinhood seed fans posting their new purple punch crosses like those haven't been done to death. I still have packs from when it was the gdp craze lol. Punch, gelato, and cookies make up like 20 of the newer strains everyone's using

this is one of the best topics i've ever seen, not being in USA means i can only get weed from good seeds and i always wondered myself the same thing... People been crossing Cookies, Cake, Gelatos, Sherbets like crazy and those are supposed to be held in a very closed circle from what i've researched... And since this hype train started i've been getting shit plants compared to what i got back in the days when the breed game was about working lines and stabilizing genetics... Those breeders are releasing like 30+ crosses a year and they give them crazy names like Banana Sorbet Caramel with Chocolate Chips that's some bullshit to me, and they have descriptions on the plants that they never grew themselves like wtf dude. I'm done with USA hype train breeders, i'm sticking to the old dogs... Fuck the new school.
There's one more thing i would like to add is that there's people doing good old breeding and testing shit and giving real descriptions to what to expect... Even doe i think they could do even more test... I mean it's a banging game there's a lot of money, so do it right them...

Everything’s a sur load of hybrids. Man bred landraces out like no other. All we have now is crosses from a cross that came from another cross. Indicas and sativas were visual characteristics and now everything’s on effects. If you want true indicas. You have to go back to the landrace and grab true Afghans. But like I said. The weed we smoke and LIKE today is because WE bred the shit outta the original landrace to what WE want.

That is the thing are sure it's the real cut ? Are you sure you know the difference between the 2 a fake or real deal not in flower incase you all didn't know it's kinda hard to tell
#2. Is the cut clean free of bugs pest's mildew etc etc. it's easy to buy cuts that go 1g to 2g for 1200 or 500 but those people willing to do that are few and far between need to know some one . Now him buying it directly from Top Dog or his table takes all the guess work out that is why those prices are what they are .

i agree it’s hard to tell in veg that’s why I’m not tripping yet but it’s doing things like producing 3 finger blades for a while I think today I spotted one 5 blade after two months
thats what made me go on said breeders page and look around .. I found a LAVENDER that looks identical it’s throwing 3 blade leafs in flower too ..this made me think when I purchased the clone he kind of was staring me towards the chem D cut .. but I was insistent on the so cal master I wonder why now
I could be totally wrong but I was always under the impression that so cal and bubba was similar this grows more like a og or chem .. I actually hope I’m wrong
