Let's put it this way. In Washington I-502 sucks and has made most people into criminals once they get behind the wheel of their vehicle. This whole .5ng testing bs was setup to fail and has nothing to do with ones ability to operate their vehicle safely. It is more so in place for profit of the system and all the dui lawyer's as well as insurance companies are loving the sound of it. I guess that's why they were some of the biggest contributors to 502. Go figure.

The federal government is NOT changing the classification of marijuana so watch out anyone who opens a store sellin marijuana to the public

I don't feel the change but I still treat weed like its still illegal and I think most people do. We can grow 6 plants, but only 3 can be in flower. Growing is the only legal way to get pot right now and you can share will adults up to 1 once. Everyone has fresh weed now and old compact weed don't sell. I think this summer we will see more people growing outdoors. It don't sound like the Feds are going to get involved with small legal grows, but size will matter. We have medical shops all over selling/growing weed to registered patients, no feds so far in my area , its been 2+ years. I'm not sure will see a pot shop anytime soon most towns are getting a moratorium placed on this type of business. I don't think it helps our cause when people go to the Capital building and light up and taunt the people that don't support 64. Just keep it cool and it will be hear forever, Don't give people the wrong the idea or this could go away as fast as it came. JMO

Not a thing has changed for me in CO except my plant count doubled.
I still only grow three plants.

The streets are littered with pot needles, people are selling their children to buy the pot, cats and dogs are living together.

Last night while waiting in line to get into a show there were multiple people smoking joints openly in line. I've been a medical card holder so nothing's changed for me (other than the new dui laws), the dispensaries here sell good shit but you have to have a medical card, here are 2 I go to:

I pay $75/year to keep a medical card which allows 15 plants and 24 ounces. Now with the new law anyone can possess an ounce of bud, which was already allowed in king county(seattle) prior to the law. Before I-502 an adult with 40 grams or less wouldn't be charged for simple possession in the city and it was voted the "lowest priority" for law enforcement.

No offense, but that doctor's recommendation does not change the law. It does give you an affirmative defense, which means if you have legal problems, you are going to need a bad ass lawyer to argue effectively that you do actually need all that above what the law allows. Amendment 64 doesn't really help with that.

If police see that grow and there are not enough adults to cover the plant count, they would most likely arrest you and let the lawyers sort it out. Police are not impressed with doctor's notes.

If some smart DA figured out that you could legally grow three plants each under a 1000 watt light, they could argue that no person needs to break the law to keep themselves supplied.

Don't rely on your doctor rec for peace of mind.
I think marijuana should be regulated like tomatoes.

I just thought that Colorado personal growers would be enjoying thier new legal status a little more "publicly". It makes sense that, like some of you said, you still consider growing as an illegal activity (can't be too careful).

It is just another day. Am I supposed to get a tshirt that says, "I grow weed?"

I keep it on the down low. Legal or not, that is the smart way to go.
