Prolly talking in the wind but anywaysssss I started a new batch of seeds....last grow I used only 120w actual draw knockoff light for vegging and brought in a Marshydro 600 for flowering along with the knock off ...should I start with both lights on or just do what I did before ended up with about 2 oz per plant “autos” new strains and breeders this time around 220total watts in a 3x3

I typically start my seeds under a few CFLs in solo cups. Once they get their first serrated leaf set, I move them to an old blurple. I then veg under them under the blurple until they get up-potted. Then they go under quantum boards. Works for me.
Thanks for the input man ! Just what I needed !! Seeds seem at a stand still one has cotyledon bent over but hasn’t stood straight up yet today when I get gone they all should be open I hope anyway went with a soil mix didn’t let it cook but only time will tell

You happen to have pictures? You know what they say about a picture....it’s worth a thousand words.

Last time I had good luck with the soil but now I added castings/fish meal bone meal and planted them in it granted it’s only been four days since I planted them from paper towel

My humidity is low on mine too. Humidifier should be here today and I can hopefully resolve that issue. My last autos I tried to grow sprouted then the hard freeze hit here and that was the end of them lol.
Looking back at my last grow humidity was 45 and temp was 68 for the first two weeks and the seeds did well I’m just pointing fingers at the soil being hot but Idek if they would be alive still if that was the case only time will tell I guess

I started two autos with identical temps and humidity under a "800w" blurple COB light next to a furnace. No tent until they started to flower.. Stayed there entire veg and did great. As long as they hit their DLI the type of light almost doesn't matter. Proper care, training, and feeding will have the most impact on your plants. Good luck!

Edit: They were also started in their final 3 gallon pots. I transplant all my plants now from starter pots to 3 gallon cloth pots and they do SO much better.

@twentyeight.threefive I’ve been wondering about it because I feel like the root structure is just a hell of a lot better coming out of a party cup thanks for reminding me about the dli I was measuring it with this cheap ass meter that came with the kit but I deff remember the number 500/630 it was ranging for the seeding part and over 2000 for flower honestly second grow got six ounces off of three autos in 3 gallon fabric pots feeding them fox farm nutes just trying to better my abilities ...I feel like getting the gadgets is a big step forward

Gadgets don't equal steps forward, although they may help. Sound basics, and keeping plants healthy start to finish will give you your best results. I pulled 6.6 oz off one autoflower in a 3 gallon pot. Coco grow, but I think I could have done way more had I trained it more for the space I had available. I worked within my setup though and was still pleased. Hope you continue to improve man, good luck with this new grow.
