I've been growing weed for less than a year and I've experienced

- Underwatering
- Overwatering
- Heat Burn
- Light Burn
- Nitrogen deficiency
- Nitrogen Toxicity
- Magnesium deficiency
- Calcium deficiency
- Cold stress
- Windburn
- pot too big
- pot too small
- fungus gnats
- dwarf plants

..... And probably more I've forgotten lol
... But my point is this, growing as a hobby is so much fucking fun! You need to fall many times before you walk and as long as you learn from your mistakes and enjoy the journey you're winning. You can't fail unless you quit!

I love this little community!

And the further you progress....The harder the impact of those crashes. Perpetual growth of your hobby and self.

Team "Mother". Go green and really learn. LOL.

So jumped straight in, any research for insight? Im sure our systems are different and I've been growing for almost 2 years and have had very dissimilar experiences. Still love growing but I can imagine resolve and determination were tested having gone through ALL that in your first year. Kudos, most scream, cry, throw their hands up, and tell everyone how "difficult" it is.

I grew some lovely clean weed and saved myself some cash and that was with low efficiency cfl's, just getting started with Leds and the future is bright.... No pun intended :)
This week I made calcium solution from eggshells and bought epsom salts for magnesium. Very proud of myself ha, I'd love to go organic but preparing soil for months sounds a bit much right now.

In all honesty have not grown tons of plants in my life. I've had 17 successful grows of 2 plants per. I have always grown in FFHF soil. My environments are always sealed tents. I give them as much light as I can comfortably afford when you add in the fan and duct supplies and electricity to keep the environment right. Most of all I have always kept it simple. With simple soil, simple nutes (Techna-Flora Recipe for success) and simply letting things take their course. I have never had an issue more significant than easily corrected nute conditions and a few stray fungus gnats.

I gotta say though that I spent hours on this forum under a couple of other usernames. I watched hours of videos and read many books...before I sprouted my first seed.

My current grow is a bit different for me. I am using LED for the first time. I am hoping I can yield as much as I used to with HID about 2-3 oz per plant. But everything else is the same...simple.

I jacked this picture from another user but it says so much for my growing style...LITFA.jpg
