Got an indoor cab full of Useful stuff starting to get close. This BOO is 9 weeks from flip to the day.20211106_125311.jpg
I have the " wonky " BOO pheno next to this one , pheno B. Leaves are turning purple like they did outdoors.

The Blueberries and chocolate outdoor rosin is some of the tastiest terps I've smoked in almost 30 years of smoking ( summer 2022 marks that date :o ) I have cuts going and two of those phenos finishing up inside:hump:
The blueberry rosin is sticky as honey and I've yet to find a way to collect it. But it's easy to collect and appealing from the freezer

Great thread lots of good info in here.

All home made. Locally sourced with in a few kms from home.
Top left crab meal, too right mussel shell powder, bottom left rock dust, bottom right kelp meal. I find pleasure in collecting and processing.
How are you processing the crab meal? where I am is so dam expensive you just can't buy it well i can't anyway. 2lb is 100 in my country.

Do you know how to process oyster shells for oyster shell flour?

My neighbour catches and eats lots of crab, I clean the shells and grind them in a flour mill. And have home made crab shell meal. Oyster shells you should be able to pulverize into flour and and have oyster shell flour. Maybe crush with a mallet and finish in a coffee grinder if you don't have a dedicated mill.

I totally get the mill into flour and mortar and pestle or whatever but what are the steps before that?

@myinvisiblecomplication
Do you have crab shells and oyster shells already or access to them?

1)collect shells
2)grind shells into smallest particles possible
3)use as necessary

Crab shell won't break down until it's dry, oyster shell is ready to go. That's all i do. View attachment 5103044
Any boiling or cooking them in fire or anything like that? I saw a vid on YT where they put the OS in the fire first. So you leave then out to dry for a few days? Guess you could use an oven on low heat too? I could always go to the local fish monger and ask then for oystershell I'm not sure about crab shell though

If you just have the shell, nothing as i mentioned before is necessary. If you have live oysters, then you have to kill the oyster and clean it's shell. If you are dealing with live oysters, I doubt it will be worth your trouble.

I eat oysters so I could get shells from there and I'm sure the fish monger shucks his oysters so I could potentially get the top shell from him not sure I'm going there on on the weekend so will ask.

Thanks
