I'd be more interested in seeing someone start over from scratch. We have access to more Afghan landraces than ever. First thing I would do if I had the space would be to pheno hunt certain landrace strains for that loud skunk/meat smell. A lot of the Afghan lines that people have kept going in the USA and elsewhere for the past 30-40 years were preserved using just a handful of plants or heavily inbred, they don't contain a fraction of the genetic potential of the landrace seeds coming from farmers at the source, who collect seed from hundreds/thousands of plants.

Those chimera seeds have been available for years but I haven’t heard anyone say anything about finding RKS in them. Good breeder though, would love to hear what people think of the strain.

I ran bodhis landrace Nigerian started as seeds, 2 yrs later ran the best clone in summer dep. Totes smell like road kill skunk. Skunk and hot asphalt. Wonderful smoke. Good yeild. Needs a long finish time, at 42 north full term buds small finish late October. Small greasy hashy smelling a good "og" nose, but barely skunky. In dep large dense top shaped buds needing staking, reeks of skunk, garlic and onion, and dank. Went 11 weeks on 11/13 lite dark, june-aug, and it never finished finished. Loved the heat.

That be great i reckon getting the Colombian gold or Acapulco gold similiar to the 70s stuff would be the hard part and you make a great point alot of varieties are preserved with shallow gene pools unfortunately due to law or plant limits or whatever

Most people have shown long skinny sativa leaf patterns on the old skunks, at least from the ones I have seen posted claiming to be. Also, Texas Shoreline has this type of leaf.

Todd McCormick has posted pictures on IG of duckfoot type leaves on Neutron Lights from Greg McAllister. That is similar to a maple leaf pattern. Greg bred Northern Lights.
All of them were sourcing the afghans from the maple leaf crew in those days. Mel was even using it and he also gave it sam as it was putting out the best Afghan types in the usa at the time. Its highly likely sam used it in the very first version of skunk that he accidentally made.

I just went to Humboldt few weeks ago and picked up a Lemon Dosido clone . I couldn't believe they had a pre roll. So I smoked it before I went to Arcata shop and bought the clone . I've always like the danky type do-si-do has, the lemomns cool., I got pretty much gifted a sack full of Trainwreck , Tw x Granddaddy purps and SourD . I'm still looking for a Do si do cut , I'm pretty sure I like it over the lemon Dosi . Tho ..lolll ... Just saying ..

Man, I’ve been looking for a trainwreck clone for a while now, I guess I’m up in Canada but still wouldn’t have thought it would be this hard after legalization.
