I been usuin a 2x2.5 for year. Never exceeding 4 plants (very tight). I have a bought 1000 watts led light and a 4”
fan filter. Looking for a bit more room but to re use my lights and 4” carbon fan filter. Should I go with a 2x4 or a 3x3? I imagine Id need to increase airflow going any larger than that.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but its reality. Your 4 kissel H380's are not 1000 watts. As @MtRainDog replied in your other thread, they are 90 watt blurples. Forget equivalent watts or anything other than ACTUAL watts.

They have a poor spectrum and terrible distribution with most of the light focused on a small hot spot in the center, it's shown about 4:25 minutes into this video. Others can better advise, but I'm thinking maybe 2.5x2.5 coverage with those lights.

They each draw 90 watts but put out the rquivalant of a 250 watt light. But if you want to say they are actual 90 watss ok. I have been able to flower 3-4 girls easily. They have a blurple as well as a red blooming spectrum. The have a nice spread at 12-18” over tops.

You'd do much better with better lighting. What's the metric for saying they put out the same amouny of light as a 250?

I've posted twice now and deleted both posts as I feel I've misunderstood something .

So just let me ask you.

Are you using 4x 90w lights in a 2ft x 2ft space?
360w?
