I can understand your reservations on the size of a Waterfarms limited reservoir.. Fought with that for years.. Especially when in flower, they could suck up almost a gal a day.. I got such good yields I didn't want to give up on the the WFs.... Decided to do something about that by modifying my WFs so I could add a reservoir and recirculate.. I don't use an electric water pump, or air stones, only use the drip ring as a water pump.. It changes the water in the WF twice an hour.... The results of that are in my Mixed Hydro thread, and Waterloo led thread on 420.. Google, Mixed Hydro water culture..
I'm also thinking about using Jacks.. What was the dry weight of this grow.. Post your next grow so I can follow along. Just ran across this grow today..

I still use the water farms, mostly for bigger plants. I have a bigger res I could hook up to them but haven’t got around to it. I picked up a blue lab combo meter and it makes doing all those checks way easier.
Still dry trimming the last run so no numbers yet. Looks like 600 or so grams of lowers anyway (I weighed 500 grams so far and more to go). Uppers are likely twice that but there’s still lots of dry trimming to do on those so may be more or less.
