Hey guys! Just wanted to hear your first experience in lucid dreaming, how you learned about it, or how you DISCOVERED it on your own! please do tell I am very interested! xP

For me it was both self discovery and i had to learn about it. so my story!!

I felt the transitional phase from awake to dream. so I felt the sleep paralysis kick in. I felt like I was floating.. I heard a buzzing noise and I couldnt yell for help. I thought i was being abducted! it was crazy!

So the next day I tell my friend about it and hes just like "dude look into something thats actually real, Lucid Dreaming" So i looked into it and BAM! all the descriptions TOTALLY fit my experience!

at first I was in a class and I saw a projector and my teacher was talking and next thing you know, he starts to lift weights.. so I said "Is this real?" but I heard myself in REALITY say it so the imagery faded.

Next time I just layed there and did the same thing.. just trying to consciously stay awake.. I hear voices saying random things.. and an image starts to fade in.. and im in an office laying down (cuz im in my bed still) and theres this girl walking by.. and than i look to my right (shocked cuz im fucking dreaming and things look so real) and I see her typing, than things turned black and I awoke. it was crazy!

and thats only the start! does RIU have anything to say? xD

Thank you so much for your time :]

Yeah dude, I always had thought i'd lucid dreamed before, but a few weeks ago I think I had my first "actual" LD. I've tripped on a lot of drugs before but this was something totally different. I was dreaming and all of a sudden I noticed things were dreamy, something didnt make sense. What actually triggered myself to realize that I was in fact dreaming, was that in my kitchen were two big outdoor weed plants. I thought hmm.... I don't remember having outdoor plants... am I.... dreaming? and then I became somewhat lucid. Now the trouble about becoming lucid is not getting too excited when you realize your dreaming, otherwise you'll just wake up. This time though, I had become lucid to some extent. I should mention that at this point, I had already been dreaming for awhile, so it took me a long time to realize I was actually dreaming. Once lucid, I started experiencing the dream until it got uncomfortable or I wanted to leave it. At this point I would tell myself to "wake up". For example, while dreaming, I looked in a mirror and my face was ditsorted all horribly. It was terrifying, so I said to myself "wake up!". Now when I said this, I snapped into a view of myself lying still in bed, but its somehow from a third person perspective, this only lasts a moment, almost as if to reassure that I was still sleeping, before I am thrown into another dream. SO this happened about 6 or 7 times. Like swinging consciousnesses shifts... i can only describe it as dreams within dreams within dreams, at least that's what it felt like. (Kinda like the movies Jumper and Inception combined) So whenever I became uncomfortable,I was say, Wake up!, i'd see myself in bed from a weird angle, then i'd slip back into another, completely different dream. Now like the 6th or 7th time this happened, I was freaking out because I'd never expereienced anything like this and I wasn't quite sure what was happeneing. (still dreaming). So I am in the middle of a street near my house and I see strangers, I walk up to them frantically and say "Hey! have you ever lucid dreamed before????" and the strangers all one after another said "yeah! its awesome but its kind of scary your first time." after hearing this I hugged each stranger (3 or so) and the last one was a girl. I started humping her, got excited and woke up back in my bed in real life. Tripping balls on what I had just experienced for like 15 minutes before I decided to write it all down. I can sum it up as the closest to "breaking through to any possible other side" as I have ever come. I do not believe I was fully lucid, but somehow close to getting there. Now it is important to note that this whole experience happened during a nap between 9-11:30 in the morning. I woke up at 7 to go to classs, came home and went back to bed. Now upon further reseach into lucid dreaming I learned that waking up for an hour or 2 then going back to sleep makes you something like 25 percent more likely to become lucid. So that kind of helped me make sense of it all. anyway yea dreams are amazing, people dont think of them as much as they should...

Ive had a handful over the past 6 month's or so... I discovered it through exploration of LSD. Normally while being on lsd i have this realization that im only half awake, it's somewhat of a detached feeling. One night i was dreaming that i was snowboarding, half way down the hill i was able to hold onto that detached feeling, it was dreaming at that point i realized i was dreaming. From that point on, i was full on conscious of everything i did on the mountain, it was pretty amazing to cause i was doing thing's way beyond what i normally would have been able to do on a snowboard..

What's scary is when you get stuck in a lucid dream and cant wake yourself up, def not chill.

I couldn't read all that but be careful with lucid dreams....I used to mess with it and would do things when I was awake because I thought it was a dream and it caused me problems

I wish I could stay Lucid on command.. I would go talk to my dream guide. smoke some weed. and maybe try out rock climbing :] and just find answers in life through talking to my dream guide.

Today I was hella lit before work and I talked to my co worker and I noticed the music sounded a bit hazy.. like it was a dream. so I just jumped in the air and nothing cool happened so thats how I determined that I was just hella fucking lit.
