Has anyone any thoughts on the new led offering from Lumatek?
It's a UK Company.
I used their 660 watt Digital HPS Ballasts for years, some of my friends still use them. Good gear.
They offer a couple of models.
The Zeus 600, the Zeus 600 Pro and a Zeus 1000 Watt Pro being released shortly.
They are using Osram and LUMLED Leds and a Lumatek led Driver.
Be sure and check out Lumateks videos in the link below.
They could be a good alternative to Amares Bar 8 or Gavita Pro 1650e as no Customs duty to pay due to being UK based?

Yeah, was checking these out looking into their Attis , square light.
Heck ova deal. Further investigation brought me to their single bars designed to be added to the Zues Driver.
So, imo, the Zues 600Pro w/ x2 , 100w bars added, would disperse the 600w over x8 bars rather then x6. Reasoning for doing this is not so much for coverage but for efficiency & longevity. Edit: After reading more on the link posted by DIYLED below i noticed there are more diodes in the Pro-Model, increasing the efficiency.
And the build quality looks better then i thought based on Lumiteks site last month.
I would buy this over the Gavita or Fluence all day. I have yet to see or hold the Lightweight Amare 640w Bar units, so can't speak to the comparison on that & truly need to touch a Lumitek before jumping to conclusions.
On another note, you see the Attis 300? Peep the spectrum. Has IR. Unless it just comes out that way after losses through the frosted diode cover?
Very affordable fixtures.
Editted: For the price its gotta be one of the best deals going. Id get it as is n ride it till the diodes fall off.
These have peaked my interest for a minute. Posted them on "Led Companies with links" or "Led Users Unite".

Thank you for this!. Clarifies things in my head.
Are you going to carry the Attis fixtures too?
Do they have IR diodes or is that from the frosted diode covers?

Ok, just saw the Amare LUV. Quit a bit different then this. $300 more too. But damn is it nice!
After seeing all 4 (Gavita,Fluence,Amare,Lumitek) I'd still go Lumitek over Fluence or Gavita but would save the $300 for the Amare.
Amare LUV....? What does luv mean.. added UV in the Bars, maybe?
Are you talking about the Amare Bar 8?
Nicely priced if you are in the States and don't have to pay the ransom note of customs and excise!
Problem in the UK is we don't have the led options/choices you have, without having to pay through the nose for them, which is a great pity.
Glad to see you like the Lumatek offering.

Lumatek say 2.7 umol/J for the 600 pro
Migro say 2.33 umols/J ?
Ones total output, ones light at the canopy.

Migro uses PPFD/W. Its fine for general comparisons, providing the testing methodology is the same. But you cant take this out of context and try comparing it with any other tests, specially those using a par meters as the measuring device.

This is the problem with migro; i admire him doing work on measurements but he doesnt really point out to what are the limitations of his approach.

i just like trying to work out how many dabs, spliffs and bongs he's had before each vid. when he interviewed that spectrum guy, you could pin point the exact moment he broke.

Which par meter would you guys recommend? still the apogees ?
